^But, look at Fleetwood Mac's Rumours- just 54 weeks on Top Album Sales, compared to the much higher count on the BB 200. With Thriller, 110 weeks on Top Album Sales, vs. 231 on the BB 200, etc. etc. At first I thought maybe it was just weeks in the top 100 on the BB 200, but Rumours logged 31 weeks at No. 1, and Thriller 37, so can' be that. lol And look at the peaks listed for those two titles. It looks like Top Album Sales has adopted the history of the BB200 only since December 5, 2009.
The significance of that date is the birth of the Top Current Albums and the reinclusion of catalog titles in the BB200
A little goofy, but the math checks out with several of the older titles that I looked at.
Then again, it does kind of make sense to start the history at this point. The main BB200 chart prior to that was not based on the best selling albums of the week.

^Ahh, OK- I guess that would make sense, for both weeks and listed peaks. Goofy, indeed, especially for chart historians. :)
