This album is growing on me. My only complaint is that except for "Down" and "The Fall" (absolute highlights for me), most songs tend to sound samey. But I understand this might be the kind of sound her core fans love to hear.

In her defense, she never reports physical sales to Nielsen Soundscan and I believe her older fans still purchase physical albums versus digital. She's set to sell limited edition of TKO on vinyl per their request.

Probably not. Instead she gave us Smoove Jones which turned out to be a blessing in disguise and make people believe in her again as an artist. With TKO, I loved that she actually promoted it on different platforms but hated she hasn't performed any of the new material from it on platform or concert venue. I'd love to see her do a BUILD series with this being her 20 year anniversary and all. |
