Released in 2000 by LaFace, this was P!nk's debut single from her debut album, "Can't Take Me Home." It was produce by Kevin "She'kspere" Briggs and written by P!nk, She'kspere and then-girlfriend, Kandi Burruss. It peaked at #7 on the Hot 100, #6 in the UK, #2 at CHR/Pop, #4 at rhythmic and #15 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. I remember hearing this on the radio and being shocked when I saw the video and she was a white woman. I liked this a lot at the time, but it has dated horribly. Changing her sound for her next album was the smartest thing she could have done.

This sounds like a Destiny's Child song! Haha!
But it's pretty good! :)

This sounds like a Destiny's Child song! Haha! But it's pretty good! :) That's because almost every She'kspere song in the 90s and very early 2000s sounded alike. From "Bills, Bills, Bills," to Mariah's "X-Girlfriend", to "Don't Think I'm Not" from Kandi, to this track.

Back when people (including me) thought Pink was black. Kandi and Shekspere's sound was quite interesting and defined that era of music. I revisited this a few days ago and still can't leave it alone.

Even though her debut era was so stylistically different to where the majority of her material went, there is something so quintessentially Pink about this song that it remains a fantastic piece of her discography.

I like it, but knowing what I know now, it's hard to like it. It's just such a forced charade. So glad she found her own voice and sound it worked out.

This and "Most Girls" are probably my favorite songs by her not named "Glitter In The Air"

Loved it then and I still jam out to the Hani remix. I loved P!nk's attitude on this.
