This was the second single from her album, "One of the Boys." It was produced by Dr. Luke and Benny Blanco, and was written by Katy, Benny Blanco, Dr. Luke and Max Martin. It peaked at #3 on the Hot 100, #4 in the UK, #1 at CHR/Pop, #21 at rhythmic and #14 at Hot AC. This was a decent pop song.

Before I heard this, I was convinced to the high heavens and back that she'd be a one hit wonder. It took one listen of this for me to know that wouldn't be true. This is still one of her strongest.

Some of the punch liners are awesome, the chorus is pretty catchy, but she has much better material than this.

Quite possibly my favorite from her. It's one of the few Katy songs that hasn't aged terribly.

Well done. The lyrics are fun without being embarrassing. By far my favourite Katy song during its run and thankfully it aged reasonably well so I can still enjoy it.

I think this is one of the best songs she's released- not only does it have commerical appeal, it's catchy as f*** and one of the best pop songs ever.
Amazing follow up to I Kissed a Girl!
I loved the video for the song, she looked gorgeous in the wedding dress, and the video is just fun and really matches the vibe of the song.

I really loved "I Kissed A Girl" and then I heard this and really loved it too. Still like it.

I knew after this that she was something special, and then WUIV as the 4th single really led me to believe she would be big

This is still her best song imo.

She hasn't topped this. Insanely catchy. I still have great memories of dancing to this in a packed club. Exhilarating, to say the least.

For some reason, I always thought this would age terribly, but it didn't and now I think it never will. A 2000s classic if you ask me!
also, that 2nd verse will always be my favorite part of the song.

I always found catchy the song but I’m not really a fan due to the fact that it was overplayed on KIIS FM and MTV in the 2008 to be honest.

Hpw did this not go to #1? It felt way bigger than IKAG... what blocked it?

Hpw did this not go to #1? It felt way bigger than IKAG... what blocked it? Hot N Cold was only at #3 for a week, and T.I. blocked her with 2 songs (#1 Live Your Life, #2 Whatever You Like). I Kissed A Girl was #66 on the decade-end list, and Hot N Cold at #69, so they were really close in overall points, but I agree, Hot N Cold felt like a bigger hit.

I like it, but my fave song by her will always be "Roar".

Still a contender for her best song. S Tier classic. I remember how ICONIC the video was too, all of us kids watched it over and over

This will make an appearance in Round 1, Division 4, Part 2 of the 00-20 UTOC.
This still makes a regular appearance on the local radio station once a week, but it hasn't burned out on me.

Definitely one of her best. It even felt like a bigger hit to me than "I Kissed A Girl," and it still sounds good today.
