We might of had a thread like this at one point or another but oh well, this thread is kind of meant to piggyback off of the "Similar Titles" thread. What are some songs you can think of that share similar themes? And no, you don't have to list off every single bro-country song. There are better examples :)
Theme: Prison Inmates reflecting on their lives
Steve Earle- Billy Austin Eric Church- Lightning
Theme: A love that's dead and gone and yet the narrator yearns for one last thing
Montgomery Gentry- Lie Before You Leave Dierks Bentley- Say You Do Luke Bryan- Kiss Tomorrow Goodbye JT Hodges- Give It One More Night
Theme: The narrator differs from the average person in one way or another
Gary Allan- Get Off On The Pain Eli Young Band- When It Rains
There's plenty more but I just wanted to get the idea out of my head

Interesting idea. Some of these might be a bit of a stretch, but:
Theme: Differences in siblings despite similar upbringings
Brooks & Dunn - "Born And Raised In Black And White" Sugarland - "Little Wood Guitar"
Theme: Longing for a simpler time
Tim McGraw & Faith Hill - "Meanwhile Back At Mama's" Tim McGraw - "Where The Green Grass Grows" Miranda Lambert - "Automatic"
Theme: Warning someone about a lover they shouldn't have
Reba McEntire - "The Bridge You Burn" Jo Dee Messina - "He's Messed Up" Carrie Underwood - "Cowboy Casanova"

I think you can guess the theme.
Jason Aldean - "You're The Love I Wanna Be In" JT Hodges - "Goodbyes Made You Mine" Jon Pardi - "That Man" Darryl Worley - "When You Need My Love"

Theme: Married man is tempted to cheat, but the sight of his wedding ring makes him reconsider. Randy Travis - On The Other Hand David Houston - Almost Persuaded
Theme: Father ignores his children, and pays for it later in life. Harry Chapin - Cat's in the Cradle John Anderson - I Wish I Could Have Been There
Theme: There's a train that's a metaphor for sin/the devil. Hank Williams - The Devil's Train (this might be a cover) Josh Turner - Long Black Train
Good idea for a thread. As the old saying goes, there's nothing new under the sun, so I'm constantly thinking to myself, "wow, this song has pretty much the exact same theme/plot as some other song", but I'm drawing a blank for more examples. I'll have more as I think of them.

Sheryl Crow - "You're Asking the Wrong Person" Edens Edge - "Liar"

Jason Aldean's tune "The Truth" has some similarities. Narrator is still in love with a girl who has moved on.

If you enjoy "The Truth", then you'll love Brice Long's (or Chris Cagle's) "Anywhere But Here".

Theme: The end of a relationship with the narrator still trying to spend one last night together.
Help Me Make It Through The Night (Sammi Smith) For The Good Times (Ray Price) Please Don't Tell Me How The Story Ends (Ronnie Milsap) Old Times Sake (Elvis / Shelby Lynne)
Weird , I had already typed those first three titles before it struck me that all three are Kristofferson songs.
