This is from Kelly's album, "Breakaway." It peaked at #7 on the Hot 100, #7 in the UK, #3 at Hot AC, #3 at AC and #1 at CHR/Pop. Great song. One of her best.

I like the duet with Reba better; it tells a more interesting story

I've always liked this. The 1-2-3 of SUBG-BTHE-BOY was her finest hour. I lived in Europe during this period and this was THE song from that album there, massive.

I was in west Africa during that period and it was playing on the radio as well. That whole era was fantastic for the fans!

Another favorite of mine from her. The melody and lyrics are wonderful. I loved Reba's duet with her too, but will always prefer the original.

This was a part of her 2nd studio album "Breakaway" (2004) and was released as a single in August 2005. It peaked at #7 on the Hot 100, #3 on the Adult Contemporary chart, #4 on Radio Songs, and #1 on Pop Songs.
I still love this song. :) It's one of her many greats.

In my top 3 Kelly songs, for sure. Beautifully written and sung.

This song is how I first knew her (even though I had to have heard her previous singles before then) and the song that made me a fan. Still in my top 5 of her after all this time.

Her best song in my honest opinion. Tells a really sad story and it's heard throughout the song through her emotive vocals. I've always considered her to be one of the most underrated vocal talents, she seriously has one of the best voices of this millennium.
