This was the final single from her 6x platinum album, "Breakaway." It peaked at #12 on the Hot 100 and #5 at CHR/Pop. I like the song, but it's definitely my least favorite single from "Breakaway."

It was my least favorite single when it was released, though I still liked it, but now I love it, and she just breaks it open live. I think it's the least dated-sounding of all the Breakaway singles, outside of Since U Been Gone.

This has got to be her most performed song ever right? I feel like there was a good stretch where she would sing whatever single she had and this, always. Totally worth it with how she shreds it live though.

I abhor Kelly Clarkson's musical output - to me she has one of the worst catalogs ever - but I love this song. It's definitely my favorite of the three songs by her in my library (the others being "Because of You" and "Underneath The Tree").

Not a huge Kelly fan, but she knocks this one out of the park!

I've never liked this, it's easily my least favorite on the album, but I didn't disagree with its single choice. The thin production on this just sounds awkward now.

I think it's a jam. I've always been a huge fan of it and it's among my favorites from her. It's really catchy and I love the vocal arrangement and production.

Definitely the weakest among the Breakaway singles, but I liked it. I was glad they chose this over "Gone".

I was firmly on team "Gone" when it was coming down to the final single. Was kind of stumped that this was released, it sounded so cheesy and dated to me back then. Now I'm glad they did, it's one of my favs by her, probably my second fav single behind "BTHE" from that album.

I was firmly on team anything-but-this at the time. It's aged relatively well, but there were so many songs that could've made a bigger splash at the time.

Really like this one- was glad they went with this over "Gone." It's spunky without being in-your-face, and the bridge is terrific.

She performed this so much I think 80% of the Kelly fanbase just collectively hated it on pure principle, lol. There is a solid decade where I would have given almost anything to hear her sing pretty much any other album cut instead of this for the sake of switching things up. But that aside, it really is a fun song and there isn't one performance of it that is anything less than great. In fact my fave performance of it is from less than three years ago.
I think her willingness to play around with the arrangement helps the song seem as if it's aged well because it shows how adaptable it is to different styles. I'd love to hear her (or anyone) put a Bad Guy-style spin on a cover of this.

Liked the original as it has a lot of attitude and so many great vocal moments. But I prefer the Ralphi Rosario remix. It was fabulously dark and the dubs were hot.

It’s an okay song with the rest of the album outshining it.
Really though, with such iconic pieces as “Since You’ve Been Gone”, “Because Of You” and the title track, there was bound to be an average tune somewhere. I can remember these anthems playing loud and clear everywhere during 2004 and 2005.

She's a wonderful vocalist, but I could never really get into her albums. I have her "Thankful" album and only the singles from that album had got me going. Same with "Breakaway", I only like the singles from that album except "Since U Been Gone". I definitely feel that she's more of a singles artist for sure.
