What are some hit songs over the years that were seemingly never heard from again after they went recurrent? I only counted them if they went top 10. :)
Tim McGraw - "When The Stars Go Blue" (if I remember the recurrent play for this went off a cliff, so it made sense I never heard it again) Tim McGraw - "Let It Go" Tim McGraw - 'Do You Want Fries With That" Sara Evans - "Cheatin'" Brian McComas - "99.9% Sure (I've Never Been Here Before)" Kenny Chesney - "Reality" Kenny Chesney - "The Woman With You" (not once, I swear) Lonestar - "You're Like Comin' Home" Brooks & Dunn - "Building Bridges" Brooks & Dunn - "That's What She Gets For Loving Me" Jack Ingram - "Wherever You Are" Phil Vassar - "Last Day Of My Life" Aaron Lines - "You Can't Hide Beautiful" Keith Urban - "Everybody" Alan Jackson - "A Woman's Love" Thompson Square - "I Got You" Brad Paisley - "I Wish You'd Stay" Rascal Flatts - "Unstoppable" Lost Trailers - "Holler Back" Mark McGuinn - "Mrs. Steven Rudy" Van Zant - "Help Somebody" SHeDaisy - "Don't Worry 'Bout A Thing"
There's more but I'll list them later.

Sunny Sweeney - "From A Table Away" (WYRK uses to play this one often too) Also, I envy you Ten Pound Hammer. You haven't heard "Undo It" since it left the charts. The only Carrie song I dislike and I still hear it quite often on The Highway, Y2Kountry and WYRK.

If my list seems long, then keep in mind WATZ plays a lot of 1970s-1990s country (three Rosanne Cash songs in a month? Sweet!), new obscure independent acts (Chris Chitsey's "Lonely in Tucson" should've been a hit), new material from has-beens (I swear I've heard "He's Messed Up" about 400 times), and the newest of the new. I heard them play "Long Stretch of Love" at least three times a good week before it went for adds.
Also, I like "Undo It".

Alabama - The Maker Said Take Her Same here. I think I heard that song for the first time a couple years ago. Good tune.

^ Lol, I think it was pretty much expected for "Bob That Head" to never be heard from again once it exited the charts. It last just 9 bulleted weeks on MB before recurrent after peaking at #13.

^ The now-no-longer-working afternoon guy at WATZ used to cue up BTH sometimes as a "punchline" whenever he told a joke on air. I honestly don't think the song is THAT bad outside Gary's screeching at the beginning. No wonder Bob Kingsley usually edited that out...
Let's see how far back I can go, just from memory:
2004: Come Home Soon Cool to Be a Fool Desperately Girls Lie Too Good Little Girls Hey Good Lookin' How Far I Got a Feelin' I Hate Everything I Love You This Much I Want to Live In a Real Love In My Daughter's Eyes (or if I did, I turned it off two seconds in... hard telling here) It Only Hurts When I'm Breathing Mr. Mom My Last Name Nothing 'bout Love Makes Sense Party for Two Passenger Seat Perfect She Thinks She Needs Me She's Not Just a Pretty Face Simple Life That's What It's All About That's What She Gets for Loving Me Too Much of a Good Thing Tougher Than Nails Trip Around the Sun Watch the Wind Blow By The Woman with You You Are You Can't Take the Honky Tonk Out of the Girl
2003: 99.9% Sure At the End of the Day Beautiful Goodbye Chicks Dig It Cowboys Like Us A Few Questions I Can't Be Your Friend I Wish I'm Gonna Take That Mountain A Lot of Things Different The Love Song Lovin' All Night Man to Man Next Big Thing Rock You Baby She Only Smokes When She Drinks Tell Me Something Bad About Tulsa There's More to Me Than You There's No Limit (and I don't remember hearing it when it was ON the charts either) This Is God (inversion here; WKJC never played it, but I know I've heard it at least twice on WATZ since then) The Truth About Men Unusually Unusual What the World Needs Wrinkles You Can't Hide Beautiful
And before that, we start getting into stuff I don't remember hearing the first time around...

WKCQ recently played "I Can Take It from There" and it took me nearly the entire song to remember what it was since I literally haven't heard it since it fell off the charts.

Oh wow with as much as I heard it, I would have thought it was at least top 10. Heard that one and Something's Gotta Give by LeAnn during the same time SO much. Anyone know if Georgia Rain by Yearwood was a top 10 hit? Haven't heard that one either since it's chart run

I don't think I've heard "In a Real Love", "Last Day of My Life", or "Love Is a Beautiful Thing" once since they left the charts. Oddly, I have heard "I'll Take That as a Yes".

Y2Kountry plays "In A Real Love" and "Last Day Of My Life" once in a great while but I agree they aren't played often. I think the problem with "In A Real Love" is it went #1 around a time when a few songs that are considered big recurrents hit #1 too ("Days Go By", "I Hate Everything", "Suds In The Bucket", "Mr. Mom", "Nothing On But The Radio"), so it makes sense it would have fallen through the cracks -- you could say the same for "Last Day Of My Life" ("Settle For A Slowdown", "Summertime", "The World", "If You're Going Through Hell"). I have not heard "Love Is A Beautiful Thing" on the radio once since 2008...

She came into my work. That got my revisiting her discography. She had a great run from the mid-90's until about 2005, then it just stopped. What happened after My Give A Damn's Busted to cause her sudden lack of success on the charts?

She came into my work. That got my revisiting her discography. She had a great run from the mid-90's until about 2005, then it just stopped. What happened after My Give A Damn's Busted to cause her sudden lack of success on the charts? "My Give A Damn's Busted" was really an outlier; she was having a difficult time reaching the top 20 since 2002. I think it was a combination of radio starting to move on from Jo Dee, single selections ("Delicious Surprise", "Biker Chick", etc.) and Curb's own struggles with radio promotion.

Releasing "Delicious Surprise (I Believe It)" as the second single killed all of her momentum for that album era to where even the two very radio-friendly singles that followed it didn't do well. And then she was never able to regain her footing because all of the singles choices post-Delicious Surprise were poor choices for one reason or another and Curb basically went to shit around that time and it didn't seem like they had any idea how to properly promote her anymore. I'm pretty sure she could've stayed relevant longer and had some more hits after "Give a Damn" if she had been on a better label. :'(

MGaDB never felt like a big hit to me even when it was charting. I remember it going 5-1-1-5 when it hit the top, and it had a ridiculously low Hot 100 peak in an era when #1 hits almost always hit the top 30 of the Hot 100.
That was a song I zig-zagged a lot on. I was so used to Joe Diffie's version since I had that album, but grew to like Jo Dee's. Then I heard her give a totally ditzy interview on ACC the week it hit #1 about how she like, totally wants to like, do something kinda fun and feisty, like you know? and that soured me on it. Then the song completely disappeared after that (as did Jo Dee herself), and I came back around to liking it.
I actually did like "Delicious Surprise (I Believe It)", but I remember even then thinking that it was too "out there" for radio. And this was the same year that gave us other "out there" songs like "Hillbillies".
