It may have come and gone long before I was born, but it's still one of my favorite instrumentals.

My parents had a Lawrence Welk album when I was very small. I loved this song and always asked them to play it. It was a number 1 song in 1961. At the time, Lawrence Welk was 57 years old, and became the oldest artist to have a number one hit.

This is one of my all time favorites. Music was so much better back then, than it is now.
I perceive "Calcutta" as a strong, happy sounding, joyful piece of music, which I like very much. I remember hearing it in 1961. I have the record.

I have this song, too. Very upbeat and pleasant.
