Released September 26, 2006 1. "20 (Intro)" 2. "So Excited" (featuring Khia) 3. "Show Me" 4. "Get It Out Me" 5. "Do It 2 Me" 6. "This Body" 7. "20 Part 2 (Interlude)" 8. "With U" 9. "Call on Me" (with Nelly) 10. "20 Part 3 (Interlude)" 11. "Daybreak" 12. "Enjoy" 13. "20 Part 4 (Interlude)" 14. "Take Care" 15. "Love 2 Love" 16. "20 Part 5 (Outro)" Janet's shortest effort since Control, was meant to celebrate the 20th anniversary of that hit album with a lot of the songs being throwbacks to her past eras. While Jermaine Dupri's production style might be overused, I think it's still a good listen and one of her most underrated records.

There are several standouts on this album:
-Enjoy -Take Care -So Excited
And there are several really good tracks:
-With U -Do It 2 Me -Call On Me
And then there's the rest..... "Show Me" had promise, but I guess it just depends on my mood. This is actually a pretty decent album, but sub-par for the Janet Jackson standard.

Bar her first two albums, this is her worst.
I still pop my pussy to "So Excited" tho.

I've always liked about half of this album a lot (and thought it had some of her best work of the 00s) and thought the other half was terrible. "Enjoy," "Take Care," "Roll Witchu," and "Days Go By" all had that classic Janet sound.

I still listen to Call on Me but that's about it.
Never got into this album, I think it's probably her worst.

I loved every single track on this album minus DAYBREAK. Miles better than Discipline and Damita jo, for me. TAKE CARE remains one of my favorite janet songs to this day and the sequencing from SO EXCITED to THIS BODY is flawless. Roll withchu is perfect as well.

"Enjoy" slays everything she's put out since 2002. The rest of the album is very hit or miss for me. "Do It To Me" is fun and catchy but her lead vocals are off-putting to be, as is the case with "Get It Out Me" and "Show Me." She masks this on "So Excited" by singing in a soft whisper so you have to listen closely to notice her vocals are the same sub-par quality as the three songs that follow it

Definitely a good album. I remember listening to Take Care for the first time! Good God. Lots of good tracks. This is underappreciated.
BTW what is the problem with the vocals on Get It Out Me? It's just a different style.

When this first came out, I remember "Daybreak" being my favorite track. I still really enjoy that one for the nostalgia that it brings, both literally and the fact that it just has this very happy, nostalgic sound in general. I think that one is very underrated... beautiful melody (especially during the bridge) and and cute production coupled with her joyful vocals.

Something made me revisit this album recently and I find it way more enjoyable than I did upon release. I still think her vocals for the most part are not up to snuff. This album really marked a downturn for her vocally, she sounds congested or sick on so many songs and that's been a recurring trend ever since.
"So Excited" is still an absolute JAM to me. I don't care what anyone says. "Show Me," "Do It 2 Me," and "Get It Out Me" are all pretty solid, nothing amazing, but I use them. "With U" and "Daybreak" are cute. "Enjoy" is definitely the album highlight. "Take Care" and "Love 2 Love" are better than most of the sex jams on her two albums before this IMO.
"Call On Me" was always such a complete f**king bore, still skip it. And "This Body" is downright revolting, arguably the worst song Janet has ever record, terrible production.
Not even close to her best album, but I put it on par with Discipline now. I used to rank it one notch below. And it's still way better than All For You.

Better than All for You? To me, AFY is a great blend of what the artist called Janet is about. Plus I really liked the Rockwilder sound

Yeah, I just posted in the AFY album thread, haha. I think it's a terrible album.

Well maybe not as strongly about it as you but it was certainly a disappointment. Out of all the songs on there I don't understand why they released this. I guess because Nelly was big at the time????

This is her worst album, IMO. The only songs I like are "So Excited" and "Do It 2 Me."

This was ruined by single choices. Enjoy and Do It 2 Me needed to be singles TBH.

I actually find it to be a vast improvement over Damita Jo and much more tolerable. I like how it's not so heavy on sex like Damita Jo. It had some great dance tracks like So Excited. I wasn't really fond over "Call Me" at first, but it's decent. I think she should have chosen a much stronger first single.

Better than All for You? To me, AFY is a great blend of what the artist called Janet is about. Plus I really liked the Rockwilder sound I don't think it's better than AFY. It doesn't have edgy tracks like Son of A Gun or Trust A Try, but it's alot better and has more replay value as a whole than Damita Jo. That's for sure. If I have to rank all her albums, it would be like this: 1) RN 2) TVR 3) Control 4) Janet. 5) Unbreakable/AFY 6) Discipline 7) 20 y.o. 8) Dream Street 9) Damita Jo 10) debut

I know a lot of Janet hate this album but I enjoyed it more than AFY and it was miles better than DJ. i love So Excited, Show Me, Get Out Of Me, Daybreak and Enjoy.

Agreed, it's my second favorite after All For You. I enjoyed it way more than I ever did with Damita Jo. It's infinitely better and has less terrible fillers than Damita Jo, in which I think it's her most weakest output from the 2000s.

I really liked "20 Y.O.". However the biggest let down was probably the first single with Nelly.. The song isn't awful but come on. Were they trying to go for a "Dilemma" type moment? I loved"So Excited" and the remix was hot but I guess because it's hard to sing long to people didn't get into it. Both "Show Me and Get Out Me" were single ready in my opinion. They were both catchy and you could sing along with. Plus they don't sound as sexual as "So Excited". "Do It To Me" was very Janet sounding. I bopped to it. "With You" was another one I liked along with "Daybreak and Enjoy". For me this album had a lot more hits than misses.
