Thanks for all of the feedback, everyone! Really great to see a whopping 99 voters on the poll. I'll get to work adding decade subforums and moving threads; we can look at adding genre-forum threads into the OPs of them, but I'll leave that for a later discussion.
How you can help: If you've started a thread in the Nostalgia forum, ensuring the thread is in the "Artist - Title" format makes it a step faster for me, since otherwise I have to edit it myself.
Bumping to say another way you can really easily help if you've started threads: add a decade label (e.g. "10s") to your post by going to Actions -> Labels; it'll get deleted when I move the thread, but means I don't have to look up which decade it belongs to.

Who is labeling songs with 2 decades?
Many have 80s/90s or 90/00s listed.
Like A Prayer was labeled 80s/90s. It's 80s.

I have added decades to many of the nostalgia song threads here. While doing this I found the song "Take Five" by Dave Brubeck. It already has '50's attached to it. I changed it to '60's, because the single was a hit in 1961. Then I noticed that in the thread it said there was an album from 1959 that the song came from. I assume that we are considering singles, and not album cuts here. Is that right? If not, then I may have put many wrong decades here. I directly remember that record being a current record in September 1961, and hearing it then, as I was 18 years old at the time. I also have Joel Whitburn's "Top Pop Singles" book that says the same thing.

I've moved over a bunch of 60s-10s songs that were labeled and had the correct title format; will plan to move others tomorrow after the titles are fixed. If anyone else finds a spare moment and wants to go through and label more of the threads, that helps a lot! First of all, thank you for adding them!! It makes it much, much faster for me to get them moved over. (And for anyone else on staff moving them, it becomes super fast if you click on a label to filter them, then move everything over once it's in Artist - Title format.) If I understand what you're asking correctly, the Nostalgia forum includes both singles and album cuts, and thanks to the poll results at the top of the thread, we've decided to sort threads based upon their initial release date. Therefore, if a song first appeared on an album in 1959, it would go into the 1950s forum despite a potential single release later in the 60s. Let me know if that didn't answer your question!

You can also "check" all the topics on one page and then label them all at the same time!
I was doing them all individually.

You put the record "Paul Young - "What Becomes of the Brokenhearted" into the 1960's. It belongs in the 1990's. I think you've confused it with the original, by Jimmy Ruffin, which was from 1966.

I'm rarely in Nostalgia so I only just saw how great it looks! Thanks for the hard work Kurt!
One minor suggestion I have is to reverse the chronological order of decades. Since the most popular sub-forums tend to be the more recent ones, it may pay to make them the most accessible by being at the top of the page.

Credit where credit is due to Libra for helping move and retitle threads too, and to everyone who's been adding labels to threads (please do more of that - it makes it way faster)! Still more than 150 pages of threads to go, so we aren't quite done, haha. Good suggestion - any other feedback on that from others?

I see all momentum in the Nostalgia forum has ended.
I knew it was too big of a job.
151 pages are left to do.
That's a lot of work.

Headers? If you're talking about the decade tags, then yes, help there would absolutely be great. I wish we could incentivize that so more people would be inclined to do it, but alas.
As much as the blame is on us for not having much time to move threads (I, for one, am looking for paid employment, lol), it's on ProBoards for a tagging system that doesn't get indexed regularly - e.g. I just moved a bunch of 80s threads over and there are still some on the first page because they haven't yet been indexed. Frustrating.
I also want to look into the option of displaying a message when someone tries to create a new thread that asks if they've searched yet to see if a thread exists, because we're still getting a good number of duplicate threads. Obviously, that'd be partially helped by the decade divisions being completed, but it won't matter if no one's searching to begin with (or maybe they are and results aren't there - I don't know).

That would be the Subject line when creating a new threads. Currently it's apples and oranges mixed; and there's more than one error. If I could correct the subject line then that would be great PS Appreciate all your awesome work! :)

Kurt you could give a few posters the ability (temporarily) to do that, right? At the Summit didn't staff said they were going to give certain posters the ability to edit posts, used to edit thread titles and make the opening posts pretty?

Yes (note to self: add a member group, then make it a moderator of the Nostalgia forum); that's something I could consider as well.

If you do so, you can add me to the list if you wish. Won't promise to do a ton, but I will probably go in huge spurts, at least fixing titles, because OCD lol

Just so I'm clear, Selena Gomez & The Scene's "Naturally" was released as a single in 2010, but came out with the Kiss & Tell album in 2009, so "Naturally" belongs in the 2000s decade, not the 2010s?

I've added josh and areyoureadytojump as temporary section moderators and have confirmed with them that editing/moving works for them. If anyone else wants to help, reply here or send me a PM and I'll get you set up. Correct! Songs are organized based upon their initial release date.

I'm happy to help out with moving if you still need it. Just found this thread and I've been tagging a bunch of songs towards the back of the list.
