About time!
Anyway, here is how things stack up so far including this week leading to New Year's weekend for 2015:
1990 - 6/23 (1) 1991 - 5/11, 7/13, 11/16 (3) 1992 - 6/13, 7/25, 10/17, 10/31 (4) 1993 - 5/1, 8/7, 10/2 (3) 1994 - 8/20, 9/17 (2) 1995 - 12/16 (1) 1996 - 9/7, 11/30 (2) 1997 - 5/24 (1) 1998 - 8/29, 12/5 (2) 1999 - 7/31 (1) 2000 - 9/23 (1) 2001 - 5/19, 6/23, 11/24 (3) 2002 - 8/17, 11/9 (2) 2003 - 6/28, 10/11, 10/25 (3) 2004 - 5/8, 7/17, 9/11, 12/11 (4) 2005 - 6/4 (1)
Based on the information provided (with the guest hosts out of the rotation), 1997 looks to be the best candidate for the year-end show now, although 1990, 1999, and 2000 can't be ruled out (assuming if they will air the New Year's countdowns through New Year's weekend). It is possible that two year-enders could be aired in the next two weeks...

Interestingly this weekend's ACC Rewind show is NOT a year-end countdown show - it is a regular show from December 25, 1993 (4th time for 1993 this year). How they did a show on Christmas Day, I do not know...

Looks like there will be no year-end countdown after all at least for the time being...
January 3, 1998 is in store for this week - the first 1998 show for 2016.

I'm wondering if anyone has the original full 4-hour broadcast of this week's Rewind show. The reason I'm asking is because if anyone can tell me what song was at #36 that week. I'm guessing it's "In Another Eyes."

Interesting that although this week's ACC Rewind show has the chart week ending of January 3, 1998, Kingsley still gives the copyright year of 1997 at the end (probably because Billboard and the show are recorded about a week or so in advance).
BTW, 4 hour shows may be coming soon in the near future - I messaged them about this several months ago on the CT40 Facebook page and they would assure it would happen at some point if available.

The 90s streak continues (4th in a row) as this weekend we spotlight January 9, 1999 (just the second time 1999 is featured). Despite many increases inside the Top 30, only one managed to gain bullet status that week due to the holiday freeze.
I am glad that they are also keeping all the features (ACC Archive, ACC Calendar, ACC Extra, ACC Mailbag) intact.

This week's ACC Rewind show is from January 15, 2000 which still has the 1998 music/jingle package (with occasional 1995 ish jingles slipping in) and also the ACC Calendar jingle from 1995 ish. Those were changed later in 2000.

Heading back to January 19, 1991 this week - a lot of songs I haven't heard in 25 years, plus some older songs thrown in for good measure (#1 songs of the 1980s, ACC Calendar/Extras).

Interesting they didn't do the 1/20/90 show considering that's when billboard changed its chart methodology for country. I didn't start listening to ACC til shortly after. I wonder if Bob gave an explanation for how different the chart looked that week.

I wonder if Bob gave an explanation for how different the chart looked that week. Maybe they will put this under consideration next year (and if they include the complete program in the near future). In the meantime, this week we are going back to January 29, 1994.

I have never really listened to Kix or Lon's shows so I can't judge them. I do however love Bob Kingsley's show and wish he'd go back to following the Billboard chart. I grew up listening to him and listen to his chart every week at some point. I just don't see the point in having 3 shows following Mediabase's chart.

The problem here nowadays is that Billboard has gotten to be expensive, so they use Mediabase 24/7 because it is cheaper to use.
Anyway, they seem to love 2004 on ACC Rewind, so that's the year we are going back to this week. February 7, 2004 to be exact.

We are spotlighting February 15, 1992 for this week's ACC Rewind show. At least they are not pulling off what happened in October of last year when 1992 was featured on 10/17-10/18 and again on 10/31-11/1...

I don't remember a lot of those 1992 songs because they've become so obscure. Kenny Rogers' "If You Want to Find Love" hit #11 and it's the first time I've heard it since 1992. I also think this is the first time since 1992 that I've heard bigger hits like "Turn That Radio On" by Ronnie Milsap.
Why is it that "classic country" seems to stop in the late 80s, with nearly anything after 1987 being swept completely under the rug? 1992 was 24 years ago, surely that's "classic" by now if "Fishin' in the Dark" was already a classic in the late 90s...

I have no idea why, but I wish radio would look at it more closely...
Anyway we are heading back to February 22, 2003 which also features some older songs thrown in for good measure.

This week we are flashing back to February 27, 1993 and by this point, some newer jingles (1993 ish) come into play (probably the end of hour, top of the hour, and closing themes were updated as well).

This weekend we are flashing back to March 3, 2001 just after they cut the song position list to 60 where it stands today (Country Airplay wise).
So far up to this point, 1992, 1993, and 2004 are leading the pack with the most show airings so far.

The most important part of this 3/3/01 countdown is that Lonestar was #10 with "Tell Her" and you get to hear the radio edit that is really tough to find. I like it FAR more than the album version.

Likewise. I wonder why their Greatest Hits album included the radio edit of No News, but the album version of Tell Her. I think I'm Already There was re-cut for the radio edit too. I heard it recently and it sounded a lot more bombastic than I remember. I don't remember the original version being quite as Rascal Flatts-y.

Also of note: there are 5 solo women in the top ten, and four are played back-to-back. 15 years later, none of them have even got close to the top 40. Yikes!

Yeah, it is pretty much a shame that the women don't get much respect to this day...
Anyway, 1995 fans can rejoice that this year is ready this week - March 11, 1995 to be exact.

Yeah the radio edits can be hard to find, especially when ACC usually played the radio edits on the show (sometimes they do play an album cut from time to time depending on time).
Anyway, we are rewinding back to March 16, 1996 this week.

It's a good problem to have, but it drives me crazy when ACC Rewind weeks match or are one off of Prime Country's Throwback 30. They did 1996 the week before and it was like listening to the same show twice, only with Bob instead (which is much better).
