I'm actually quite interested with your inverse points system as I have mine as well but I'm constantly tweaking it to reflect billboard's ranking. My top 20 is the same as billboard's article late last year for this decade. Mine is similar to yours apart from happy slightly higher than call me maybe as 5 more weeks was added to its chart run after billboard published the said article. With the all time chart, my first top 20 is on point but minor mistakes with the 30-60s region. I also checked my inverse system with the top 100 of the 2000s decade and some of them are on point as well.

I think uptown funk has a chance in beating PRA from the top spot. By the way why dont u share ur point system. It would be interesting to know.

I think our method is quite similar. i have party rock at approx. 24050 points and uptown funk is about 20050.

It would be really nice if u share the system. But if u prefer not to, pls tell me the points for pos. 1 and pos.10. Then ill probably have a rough idea of it. Also with ur system is pra ahead of i gotta feeling and by how much?

Yes it was very tricky with Pra and Igf but i managed to adjust the points and have IGF at roughly 23950 which is a hundred less than PRA. But then it affects the songs in the 50 to 60s region in the all time list. When i try to adjust again, macarena tends to get higher.

Basically when i did trial and error, i used pairs or group of songs as test subjects especially tricky ones like Pra and igf, royals and dark horse, countings stars and radioactive, cmm and happy, we belong together unbreak my heart and yeah, apologize and golddigger etc. when the point system satisfies them all i try it with the others and adjust it again if it's not correct. Atm, with top 20 i think im on point and with the all time list not including 1958 to 1979 hits, im roughly 60 to 70 percent on point but not good enough.

I noticed you made a comment on the other all time list thread and I think you were right with the gap of no. 10 and 11. When I first started doing the inverse system, I actually followed his style but simplified it but whenever I try it with counting stars and radioactive, the latter always ends up higher which is quite reasonable as 67 weeks of radioactive's chart run is outside of the top ten and only 43 weeks for counting stars. add to that, majority of radioactive's non top 10 weeks are in the 11 to 20s region whereas CS is around 20 to 40. So it could only mean that no.1 to no.10 should be a lot higher.

IT'S STILL HARD TO SAY WHETHER UPTOWN FUNK WILL BECOME THE ULTIMATE #1 OF THE DECADE OR IT WILL BE SHY OF PARTY ROCK ANTHEM FOR A FEW HUNDRED POINTS.
