LOL, I was actually thinking last week how funny/sad would it be if Tinashe's Work ended up becoming a minor hit because of that. I guess RCA better run with it, since they don't seem to know how to run with anything else. This might be the first time an intentional mislabeling of a video has actually been a good thing. RCA needs to seriously promote Tinashe, she literally could perform like the next Rihanna on the charts with promotion. And there is no way she'd end up being someone like Cassie.

Watch Me Work is good but she really sounds like she's aping Rihanna on that one.

Just like they were focused on Chris over Monica. Not surprised one bit.

LoL I bought "Watch Me Work" thinking it was the new single and the label were just to lazy or cheap to make a new single cover. Anyword when the new single IS coming out. LoL

Does it mean we get a Tour with no new album?

Nearly a dozen "original" songs from Kanye's new album leaked, as did Tinashe's upcoming 'Joyride' efforts. The digital age strikes again. Early Thursday morning, Kanye West's collaboration with The-Dream and Justin Vernon on a song titled "Fall Out Of Heaven" randomly hit the Internet. Cool, cool, except little did we know there was much more to follow. The songs that have now littered Jams.to include many "original" versions of songs featured on The Life Of deleted, including "Waves" with Chris Brown, “I Dont Like featuring Pusha T, Big Sean, Jadakiss and Chief Keef, The Mind is Powerful featuring Swizz Beats, Sin City, Only One featuring Caroline Shaw, Paul Mccartney Ty Dolla $ign, New Angels, I Miss The Old Kanye, Highlights featuring Young Thug, “FML” featuring Travi$ Scott and The Weeknd, Fade featuring Ty Dolla Sign and Post Malone and the “All Day” Remix featuring Kendrick Lamar of Black Hippy, Paul McCartney of The Beatles, Allan Kingdom Theophilus London. West raps in deleted song "Real Friends" his cousin stole his MacBook Air and had to pay him $250,000 to get it back. Could the new leaks have anything to do with it? “Cousin stole my laptop that I was f****** b****** on — paid $250,000 to get that back from him.” It was also reported that laptop housed sex tapes of Yeezy, so if there's any correlation we have more to look forward to (???). One noticeable difference is the infamous lyric in "Famous." The original version actually says "I feel like Taylor swift owe me sex." Tinashe also faced a barrage of leaks on Thursday, and we believe they're from her past mixtapes or her upcoming Joyride album. If so, she faces a similar dilemma Madonna dealt with last year ahead of her Rebel Heart release. When her entire catalogue of music was leaked weeks ahead of schedule, she was forced to drop the album much sooner than expected – needless to say it negatively impacted album sales. The latest Tinashe songs to surface are “Same Old Me,” “Pour Your Love On Me,” “No To Me,” “Just A Taste” and “April Moon.” Last year, Tinashe was very vocal about leaking her own song "Party Favors" after many disagreements with her management team. “I basically leaked the song. I wasn’t supposed to put it out,” she said at the time. “But I knew if I didn’t just put something out, I ran the risk of continuing to push back my singles and my whole process. I’ve got the songs, I need to put them out, I need people to hear them. I was just like, ‘F**k it. I’m putting it on SoundCloud.’ So that’s what I did, and then they had to follow up. They’re like,” — here, she mimes scrambling motions — “’We’ve got to put it on iTunes!’ That started the momentum and then we were able to put out the real single [“Player”].” A rebellious move, eh? “Yeah, but who knows? I’m not trying to diss my label because they’re awesome and they’re very supportive of me, but again it’s like, they’re playing a guessing game because you never know what’s the right thing to do. I felt like we were going in circles. People were arguing over which song should we put out first, what’s the first look. Sometimes it’s better to just force people to make a decision and be like, ‘You have to decide. No more wishy-washy.’” Looks like the move was just made for her. You can listen to them here (https://jams.to/), but we imagine they'll get pulled sooner than later.

I still feel like she needs her "From Time" moment. Jhene might not be doing Taylor Swift numbers but she sold more than double what Aquarius did without any hit.
They should try getting Tinashe on a song with Zayn or something.

I like all 5 of these songs, but I feel like these are most likely demo versions, as all of them except Just A Taste are very short. But if this is actual Joyride tracks, I'm hyped for it.

It'd be cool, but her buzz has died down and I think she'd have to go for someone a little more on her level

Wait so I'm confused? Is this not out?
What have I have been listening on Spotify all this week?
I'm surprised this thread has been so quiet if in fact this has been released.

I still think it's so weird that she's touring in support of an album that has no release date. Do we think a label change could be happening?

Seems like they're trying to build and sustain hype with the tour and drop the album after. Aquarius only moved 70k and she'll be fortunate to pull in half of that at this rate.

Jeez. Might as well give her a whole pop hit, then do what she really wants for the rest of the album

I am assuming you're talking about the self-titled album that is on there? That is a collection of songs from her previous mixtapes. I hadn't been on her Spotify page in a while so I didn't realize they uploaded this until just now. The album has been pushed back indefinitely, apparently while RCA directs its focus and coins toward Zayn. I also wonder if them continuing with the tour is less of a strategy and more of a 'we booked all the venues based on a release date and now it costs too much to scrap them even though there is no album in sight.' Either way, sigh.

They seriously need to angle "All My Friends" as her single and launch the album off of it. And this should be happening... yesterday. It's a definite smash if it gets pushed.

The song even had an adds date on rhythmic for yesterday. It got pushed back to the 29th. Cause that's exactly what she needs. More delays. Lol

All Gays on Deck: An Interview with TinasheThe R&B queen-in-waiting is getting ready to take us on a Joyride. By Les Fabian Brathwaite Wed, 2016-03-30 14:45 Tinashe is the truth. The talented 23-year-old singer-songwriter-dancer is part of a wave of alt-R&B stars—The Weeknds, the Janelle Monaes, the Frank Oceans and the FKA Twigses—redefining the rhythm and the blues for a new generation. With hits "2 On" and "All Hands on Deck" she positioned herself as the heir-apparent to Janet Damita Jo Jackson—seamlessly combining confessional lyrics, undeniable grooves, instantly imitable choreography, and arresting visual imagery all in one delightfully sensuous, midriff-bearing package. Her latest collaboration, with Brit electronic/R&B duo Snakehips and fellow truth-personifier Chance The Rapper, "All My Friends," perfectly captures the ennui of millennial party culture. The track will also be available on her sophomore album, Joyride, which she is currently promoting with a worldwide tour. We caught up with Lady T as she prepared for a show last week in New Orleans. Out: How's Joyride coming along? Is there a release date? There's no date yet. I'm hoping it will be out super soon. I've been working really hard on all the music, I just have a couple finishing touches I want to put on the album. But I'm really excited for everyone to hear it and to hear how far I've come. And what can fans expect from it?I think it definitely shows an evolution of my music, but at the same time shows where I've been. I think fans that have been here for my old music will be excited to hear all the different tones and flavors and layers. It really kind of takes you on a journey. It's an adventure. And that's really what Joyride is about. You're constantly putting out music—you've put out four mix tapes and one studio album in four years—what drives you? And what's your creative process like?As far as my creative process goes, I really just like to be at home in my studio space, in my bedroom, and try to get into my zone. I enjoy collaborating a lot, but I have always kind of created music on my own. Do you have complete creative control over your music, styling, choreography, etc.?Yeah, I think creative control is very important. I think for me it's especially important because I've always had that control over my music creatively, coming from sort of being DIY, so it's important for me to be in charge of everything, from the visuals to the live shows, choreography—every aspect that goes into it. What do you think of the current state of popular music? It's interesting, it’s in a changing period. Genres are definitely blending, music is going in interesting, new directions. I'm excited to be a part of it and I hope to bring something new and fresh to the table. Do you have a big queer following?Yeah! Absolutely. They’re one of my favorite parts of my fanbase. I remember when your video for “All Hands on Deck” came out, I was just hanging with a bunch of black queens—Yasssssss. —and we were basically screaming at it for five minutes, like obsessed with it.[laughs] Yas! It was so fun and iconic. It was really iconic.Thank you! It was so fun to shoot because we got this really awesome location, we also had this great choreography that everyone just latched onto. It’s still fun. I can look out at the show and see everyone doing the dance and that’s always so exciting to me. Yeah, it really felt like a moment and the choreography was so epic, that’s why I was so happy to see you and Ciara in the Janet tribute at the BET Awards.YAS! What was it like paying tribute to one of your icons like that?It was amazing to be involved in any aspect of that, but especially to be personally chosen by her to be part of the tribute—amazing, amazing! And a really big deal for me. I was so excited, jumping up and down. It was an honor, for sure. Oh, she personally chose you?Yeah, she personally chose me to be a part of the tribute. Wow. That is huge.Definitely! Is there anyone you’re dying to work with?André 3000 is on my wish list. Obviously, Janet or Sade, my idols. Or even Britney Spears, who I live for. I’d love to collaborate with her. That’d be awesome. I’ve read a few interviews of yours, and marijuana often comes up—do you ever get tired of people asking you about smoking weed?Um, I mean, I get tired of people asking me about everything so yeah. [laughs] You’ve been in the game now for a little while, what are you still surprised by?I think about how hard it is and how hard you work everyday just to push through. This industry is not an easy place for women, it’s not an easy place for young people, it’s not an easy place for black women. There’s just a lot of stuff I need to work on everyday and I feel like that’s always surprising to me—how hard I have to work. What do you hope to accomplish this year?I’m just focusing on getting the album out and really connecting with my fans, seeing everyone, being able to share new music with them. I really put my heart and soul into this so I can’t wait for everybody to hear it. That’s my main goal—to share it with everyone!

I hate when celebrities and producers try to act like other artists were begging for their help just because they might have been featured on a song once. Anyone with elementary knowledge of how the industry works knows that Tinashe's manager or label probably sent out 10 different requests to different big names. The collab was probably organized without Tinashe's knowledge.
This is usually tied up in some form of sexism, too. Because we all know that a women can't possibly create a good song without the artistic talent and technical ability of a man.

Chris Brown is such an ugly person. Regardless of why she did it, good for Tinashe.

But they knew what kind of person he was before they wanted to collab? I mean, I think Tinashe was more so an RCA thing. But Zendaya's been all about Chris Brown and his music for years. Now that he's having a bad PR week in the midst of being featured on your single you want to pull the moral compass?. *side eye*.

He had been "saved" for a minute when the whole thing with him having a daughter came to light, but this Kyrie/Kehlani situation just further let people know that Chris will never be able to get his sh!t together. He had a good 5-6 month streak with no bullsh!t, which her label probably took advantage of it, but now it's a no-go. Now is the time where females artists should not separate the celebrity from the music. Me as a man, I could drop a single with Chris Brown and nobody would bat an eyelash. A woman dropping a single with him in this climate will draw so much backlash that it wouldn't be wise too.
