I will be shocked if this doesn't at least go top 20 for Kelsea. It seems like the industry is really, really behind her and her music, so I really expect this to become another top 10 for Kelsea, if not another #1.

Gee, I wonder who he's talking about here? -- Official single art: Thanks Matt, I updated the first post with that great cover art. :) BTW: Can we stop it with the uncalled for bringing up of Carrie's vocals in threads for other artists. I mean my goodness, when it starts to infiltrate other threads, is when it's getting out of hand. I was simply expressing my opinion and i think maybe you were inferring that I was talking about Carrie because I don't like a lot of her stuff, but I was also referring to Miranda and Taylor swift and Jana Kramer and pretty munch every other female country artist with the exception of a few. I never singled out any artists and I was referring to the song by saying it was a breath of fresh air and I liked it.

Some of your posts lately have been purposely insinuating that Carrie's music hasn't been good lately, with what comes off as coaxing fans of Carrie to come to her defense; we get it, her music has been poor that past few albums. As for referring to other artists (Miranda, Jana, Taylor), I agree with matty005 that going out of your way to single out some other artists music in threads that does not involve that artist of the thread your responding in, in an attempt to help get your point across is uncalled for and going off topic. I know another poster continued the conversation in the wrong direction by asking if you were referring to a specific artist (which I don't condone either) but I'm just so over going off topic in threads. That goes for many things by the way. Most of the first page in the "Dibs" thread ventured off into something that didn't really involve the song itself, though I completely understand that sometimes topics evolve as the discussion wears on. I really just wish that this vitriol towards certain artists in threads that don't involve those artists would stop. If I'm in the wrong then jhomes87 can clear things up since I'm sure she can do it much more clearer than I can.

I guess I didn't see my post as going off topic since I didn't directly refer to another artist just the basic trend and style of female country artists in today's climate. I was using it as a reference as to why I like dibs and Kelsea in general but if that was uncalled for and off topic I appoligize I honestly didn't see it that way. I can see what your saying about this song is so munch better than that one. I wasn't trying to convey that this song is better than any other song I was simply saying its a breath of fresh air todays country where most of the females go in one or two directions. I'm sorry that wasn't more clear. And yea your right I don't like carries recent music but I pretty munch keep all that kind of stuff in the Carrie threads just as other posters post about stuff they don't like in threads such as jerrod Neimans and Florida Georgia lines I never meant to step over the line.

Man that cover art is great. Kelsea is just such a sweetheart. How can people not like her. I get if you don't like her pop country stuff. But I mean she is so likeable.

Dang! Before the add date, great news for Black River. jhomes87 did she get a big early add or a bunch of little ones that are making this happen?

Mind if I answer? :) According to the leaders, Kelsea's biggest help is coming from WJVC on Long Island and Minneapolis' two country stations (KEEY and KMNB). WSIX in Nashville added "Dibs" this past week as well. Basically just a few stations all chipping in to help Kelsea debut this week in the top 60.

When I was doing my chart projections yesterday I saw Kelsea got 2 big adds from the Minneapolis stations, and they've jumped right on this one. I didn't think she'd quite debut (I was thinking she'd be at #61), but this could mean that "Love Me Like You Mean It" lost just enough spins to go recurrent. Oops--had this tab open while I was typing in the Brad Paisley thread, and didn't see that sabre14 had already responded.

I think "Dibs" could see a decent amount of adds next week already, simply because there really aren't any major releases going for adds. There's James Otto...and that's about it. Music Row says Jerrod Niemann's "Blue Bandana" is going for adds, but that seems doubtful as neither Billboard nor Aircheck has published that adds date. Ashley Campbell's "Remembering" is going for adds, but it seems that that's going to be treated more like a soundtrack single and not as her official debut. So yeah, James Otto's Blaster debut is the primary competition, and I doubt he gets much more than 20 adds, if he even gets that much.
I could see Kelsea getting anywhere from 10-20 adds next week, and then maybe 35+ on her adds date (the 20th).

I agree with jhomes87, Kelsea's adds could be pretty sizable a week before the add date simply because there's nobody else of significance going for adds. If Jerrod's is at a later date (the 27th or even if it is the 20th), that means Kelsea could see well over 50 adds the next two weeks. It's still very early but Black River has the planets lining up for Kelsea to continue to break through in a big way.

Well with one week before adds Kelsea looks to,have a nice move tomorrow on Billboard. Kelsea is for sure to pass Granger,Ashley, and Lee. I'm not sure if Kelsea can quite pass like Montgomery Gentry or Craig Campbell but she should easily pass those 2 the following week. Kelsea's song is already on a fast start and I'd imagined she should get 40 first week ads. While I am optimistic for how this song does the one thing I feel like could hurt this is call-back scores. But Kelsea should move up decently fast this time.

"Dibs" got 8 more adds this week, bringing Kelsea's total to 16 stations; one week before impact day.

Oh my gosh so excited I really think she can pull 40 adds next week. Well safe to say she should be next weeks most added or am I missing another song. David Nail is going for adds next week as well with "Night's On Fire."

I see him pulling 25-30 adds with Kelsea still on top. Regardless I want both to be hits and start stabilizing both artists.

"Peter Pan" is Kelsea's favorite song on her debut album. :) I agree that "Yeah Boy" would likely get released first, but Black River have taken gambles on single selections before ("Someone Somewhere Tonight", "We'll Come Back Around"), so I wouldn't be surprised at all if they decide on "Peter Pan" as single #3 (assuming "Dibs" performs the way they would like).

"Yeah Boy" reminds me of "Dibs" a lot in terms of it's sound, so I'd rather them not release that one too, since they've already gone with "Dibs." I would absolutely love "Peter Pan" as the next single though. <3

I just listened to the full album for the first time. And WOW, this is probably the best debut album by a Country artist that I've heard, EVER. So many of the tracks sound like they could each be huge cross-over hits (Stilettos, Dibs, Peter Pan, XO, ect). I really like her voice and the production on this album is literally perfection. I could totally see her being the next Taylor Swift!

I love that they chose Dibs as the single, but maybe I am hoping for too much if I said I would love Stilettos and XO released after Dibs. Peter Pan does nothing for me... yet.

It looks like "Dibs" got 51 adds on impact day, which by far makes it the most added song on MB this week. :)

It looks like "Dibs" got 50 adds on impact day, which by far makes it the most added song on MB this week. :) So I've noticed that Country Aircheck/Mediabase *sometimes* reports the same number that appears on the live add board and *sometimes* reports a number that is one or two stations higher. Does anyone know how that all works? Regardless, this is a good - but certainly not unexpected - first week. Not that it was in danger of a bad impact week, but the timing really worked in the song's favor. She did a show in New York last week and thus scored a ton of press from major media outlets just as this song was going for adds.

Does anyone know how that all works? I've noticed that for quite a while as well and honestly I don't exactly know why. I mean, it's not really a huge deal since it is just a station or two if it happens, but I would like to know why too. Perhaps it's the same stations that give the live add board problems. I thought 40-45 would be the final amount, so 50 is slightly higher than I originally thought. "Dibs" got 16 stations before today as well.
I thought this was interesting. Buffalo Bills head coach Rex Ryan was in Nashville with the Bobby Bones Show (the Pegulas own both the Bills and Black River Entertainment), shooting a special for HBO. He had time to do his own support for Kelsea and "Dibs" as well, lol.
