There is a certain artist today who reminds me of Tiffany and Debbie Gibson. Same voice, similar style, and overhyped mediocre songs/vocals. But on the brightside, Bruno Mars comeback is a breath of fresh air. I'm honestly not sure who you're talking about, or their likeness to Debbie or Tiffany. I'm assuming it's gotta be Olivia, based on her age. Debbie and Tiffany have very distinctly different voices and styles, so that makes it even less obvious for me. It's like how Britney and Christina get lumped together based on their radio genre, age, and time of impact, but both have uniquely distinguishable styles and voices that really sound nothing alike. I guess I could kinda see a Tiffany/Olivia comparison style-wise because of the rockier edge, but not Debbie. Speaking of Debbie, love her to pieces, but her voice sure has gotten noticeably more and more... shrill... over the years. It's always been on the shrill and nasal side, but more glaringly so as an older performer. Tiffany's has gotten raspier, and, well, kinda aging like a fine wine tbh. If it's not Olivia, apologies in advance for my tangent.

BTS's Dynamite is actually a decent pop boyband song.
Butter is far inferior...

I root so hard for Lil Nas X. Continue being gay/queer af and succeeding! And his troll game is epic. That being said, he's a sh*t rapper and a sh*t singer. And his music is consistently awful. You're spot on in your post.

^And the delivery of Montero, safe and sound, was one of the funniest things I've seen on social in a long time.

Ariana Grande/Nicki Minaj's "Side to Side" would be a bigger hit if it was released in the "Positions" era instead of "Dangerous Woman" era

Adele can be a bit overrated, she's not bad but she's also not as great as people make her seem to be.

I definitely feel like people are overselling the new Adele song. She sounds great on it, but this is the type of song that I feel you would lash out at an artist for for making them wait 6 years for that.

All I Want 4 Xmas Is You isn't Mariah's best recorded Xmas song. I much prefer her O Holy Night rendition.
Memoirs of An Imperfect Angel and CharmB are 2 of her best post studio albums 90s era. Yes, TEOM as a whole album is not that great imo.

"All I Want For Christmas Is You" is the definitive modern Christmas classic and one of the greatest songs of all time, which is reason enough to give Mariah the Queen of Christmas title.
But on the whole, Kelly Clarkson's holiday originals are far and away superior to Mariah's catalog of holiday originals. Covers too, tbh, but I feel less strongly about those in general.

All I Want for Christmas Is You is starting to turn out to be one of my least favorite songs of all time. Dramatic overplay and over hype especially when it comes to Christmas. Mariah is way better than this.

Mariah is way better than this. True. I don't hate it and it's a really well made song but the overhype is getting tiresome. Maybe because Mariah has started centering her entire career around it? Which is smart, but still.
