Seems everyone loves this album ,but positions is Ariana's weakest album to date. Seems to be too early to call and I wouldn't say everyone loves the album. Outside of her stan-base, I haven't really been seeing the same praise thank u, next or sweetener got but I'd say we should give it a weak or two, and then let's see if everyone still loves it.

Ariana's latest album is quite lazy, and it racking up #1 placements all over the world all but ensures she keeps going down this creative rabbit hole.

In a few years the best-remembered song off Scorpion will be Mob Ties.

Mariah Carey is the female artist with the most LEGIT #1 debuts. Fantasy, OSD, and Honey both debuted at #1 due to high sales and airplay and they did not freefall off the chart the next few weeks. In those days, you had to have strong radio and strong sales to hit #1, not just a big one week stream and then nowhere to be seen the next week.

Outside of No Role Modelz, J. Cole has never had a good Top 40 hit. Power Trip, Work Out, MIDDLE CHILD, Deja Vu, all mediocre to bad
Also the best Gorillaz album since their return is still Humanz

Honestly, I could forgive the run of the mill production LP is using for it, if they just scrapped Kiiara's entire existence on the song altogether.

Even if those three cd singles or cassette tapes were discounted, they still managed to have longevity after their initial week. None of those songs saw a freefall after reaching No.1 so I agree with your point. It is a fact that these three songs had many weeks in the Top Ten. People have different views on No.1 debuts and how to score them but I agree with your take, mate!

To me, Lana only struck gold with NFR. The rest of her discography ranges from good to just Meh. She never really gave the same experience NFR gave.
Also, TUN >>> Sweetener. Now I know Sweetener is the better made album, but TUN stuck out with me more, even with 7 Rings on it.

Flipp Dinero's "Leave Me Alone" last year was one of my favorite hits of 2019. (If we're counting the year end list)
