If the krwlng voter chose crawling instead, it could've been #8 instead of 11. not that it would make a difference, but I think Numb/Encore was tabulated under Numb
oscar method 1 In the end 4+3+2 3rd round 2 numb 6+1+1 (numb/encore) 3 Papercut 3+3 2nd round 4 What I've done 1 4 Waiting for the end 4 One step closer 4 Lying from you 4 Breaking the habit 4 By myself 4 The catalyst 4 Shadow of the day 4Crawling 4 Faint

Quite a few of us didn't include "Numb" and "In The End" in their top 10 picks. I think those two songs are so overated.

I definitely think In the End is overrated, but not Numb.

I don't know if "In The End" Is even my favourite Linkin Park song, but it just felt wrong not having it at #1.

I definitely think In the End is overrated, but not Numb. Heh, and I feel the exact opposite. But hey, we both know that "From the Inside" and "No More Sorrow" are great tunes, so there's that, right? Kind of surprised that "One Step Closer" is as low as it is, though. Thought it would be closer to the top 10 than that.

I definitely think In the End is overrated, but not Numb. "Numb" was basically "In The End" part 2. You know like Nickelback "How You Remind Me" and "Someday" part 2

After all of the votes were tallied from our last poll, it was a very close race. However, Muse emerged victorious, just barely beating Nickelback, 11 votes to 10. Beck and Pearl Jam were removed from the poll based on poor performance, and the new entries this week are Shinedown, Rise Against, and Deftones.
The poll for Muse will remain open until Sunday, September 6th, at Midnight EST. Here's the link to the poll!

Finally, a band I actually know something about past singles. Muse is one of my favorite bands, so I'm probably going to listen to their whole discography and rank everything on a 1-10 scale. This could take awhile.

Lots and lots of Origin of Symmetry for me.

This will probably take me most of the week to figure out. I know all of their singles, but not so much the album tracks. Should be interesting...

...this is going to take a while.
EDIT: Well, took a little bit less time than I expected, but it's done. I was able to, somehow, get down to a shortlist of 25...and then getting THAT shortlist down to ten was agonizing...but it's done. Origin takes up half of my top 10 and dominates my top 4, though #1 is not an OoS track.
On the bright side, whoever is next, I can't imagine that the top 10 will be harder to put together than this one.

Sweet,Muse is one of my top 15 favorite bands even if their output recently has been lackluster (though I did include two songs from The 2nd Law). It was tough I omitted some good songs (rip Starlight) but they are a fantastic band.

Why does the title say #5? I just put it there because it's our fifth vote. I can remove it if you want. oh, wait it's our fourth. gimme a sec, fixing it now.

It was tough I omitted some good songs (rip Starlight) but they are a fantastic band. One from T2L (wonder if we share the same song, though I'm not sure) and one from Drones for me. Also the same amount of songs (1) for Absolution, which may or may not be heresy...but I'm sticking by my decision.

Not the biggest Muse fan, so I had to stretch to get to 10.

1 from Showbiz 3 from Origin of Symmetry 1 from Absolution and 1 more that I thought I'd included and wish I had, though it should be well represented here. 3 from Black Holes and Revelations 1 from The 2nd Law 1 from Drones
If I could stretch it to 20 there'd be a couple from Hullabaloo too. Very cool idea; glad I checked in within this week!

I almost included "Plug In Baby", that would be my #11. Unfortunately that means everything for me is post-Origin

Found out 10 slots isn't nearly enough. A problem I'm bound to encounter again if one of my suggestions for band is chosen? Anyway,I've always been a fan of their more New Wave sounding songs. let's see, chose ones that have Duran Duran,Queen, U2 vibes and one with a certian INXS flawlessness. Extra heavy in the Moog Synthesizer

*start rant* You know, after A Thousand Suns got surprisingly many votes in the Linkin Park poll, I listened to it again fully after like 2-3 years and while it ain't this Lulu level disaster I pegged it out to be at release, it is still really really bad. Why one of the best heavy rock/nu metal bands of this millennia suddenly decided they wanted to be f**kin Radiohead is still baffling. I think Catalyst and Waiting For The End are the only songs that could be classified as mediocre, otherwise I don't remember any songs from it. Still by faaaar their worst album. While they have gotten better recently, the levels of Hybrid Theory and Meteora have yet to be even glimpsed. *end rant*
