She'll sing whatever she wants. Besides, it's 12m, so that's 6m each. If they sing the rumored duet, then that's even less time that they will have. Shakira will probably just sing Whenever Wherever, Hips Don't Lie, Waka Waka + Ojos Asi. I see her adding one Spanish song, OA seems like the best match for the SB. I see. It’s just that it got me thinking. I can only remember acts performing US hits on these halftime shows, with the ocasional new single of course. This could be the first “hey, you guys don’t know this song but it was a hit in some other countries” Diana Ross sung "Take Me Higher" at the Superbowl and that song was considered a flop for her. She also sung "Chain Reaction" which was a hit outside the US, but peaked at #95 on the US hot 100. |

I'd also like to add that on top of the SB rehearsals and award show season events...she starts filming a movie in a few days lol.

Saw “Hustlers,” and *damn* she killed it. Her and Constance Wu were excellent. The whole cast was, really. Would love to see an Oscar nom for her.

Hustlers is about to become her highest grossing live action film. As it should! Also, Marry Me sounds like it has the potential to be a fun romp based on the plot so I’m hoping it delivers. |
