Has this ever happened where the album reaches #1 on the Hot 200 but fails to reach #1 on the country album chart? Not sure if that was your question, but you mean the fact that Thomas has the highest charting country album on the Hot 200 but is only #03 on the country album chart? That happened a few times recently with Sam Hunt. The thing is, Billboard counts streaming to calculate the Hot 200. The Top Country Albums chart only counts pure album sales. Thomas sold 19k units of his albums, less than George and Don, but 32k when streams were converted into album units - jumping ahead of both of them in the Hot 200.

Rises to #1 with 32,000 sold. Congratulations, Thomas Rhett!
The current Billboard 200 shows Janet Jackson's new album at #1 this week, with Tangled Up slipping from #6 to #7.

#1 on the country albums chart. The currrent Top Country Albums chart (from last night's Billboard Country Update) has George Strait rising from #2 to #1, Don Henley falling from #1 to #2, and Thomas Rhett holding steady at #3.
If you are looking at the ad in the Country Update, it says "#1 Country Album on Billboard's Top 200 Album Chart" -- so it is the #1 country album this week when sales and streaming are combined, but "Tangled Up" is only #3 on the official Top Country Albums chart, which is sales only.

I am going to have to delete that post because I just edited the post from Sunday.
