Those titles are too much for me to think about while I'm on my break at work at the moment. I can't fault them for creativity though.

So I've listened to this a couple of times, and I must say, pretty good. Definitely made me rethink my previous opinion of the 1975.

I got sick of this fast. It just doesn't have what their last album's singles had. I don't care for the 80s rock and rool riff.

while this song is taking its time climbing the chart; I guess they decided to give us a freebee. I love it, but then again I like all The 1975 music. This band's music is pretty cool too. Track 3 "UGH! oh yeah, before I forget. Download? Check. duh.

This does sound a lot like "Fame" by Bowie. Also they took the word Fashion and said it like in that song "Fashion". And wasn't that main guitar riff used in another Bowie song?

"Ugh" is better than "Love Me", but I'm still unsure if I would put it in the same class as "Sex", "Chocolate", and "The City"

The 1975's self-titled album has sold 337,000 copies in the US so far according to HITS, very good for an album that didn't go top 20 there. Maybe it can go Gold in a few years' time?

They'll be performing on SNL in a few weeks with Larry David as host.

I'm thinking a second single will be sent for adds right before the album's release.

Nonetheless, this is still their highest charting single.

Nonetheless, this is still their highest charting single. That and the fact; that 91x is playing this everyday all the time. Plus it was their #30 song of 2015

^Not sure anything by the 1975 will be able to go Top 10, just because I think they have a boy band side to them that won't work on a lot of stations

At least on "Love Me" they did. Don't know the rest, except "UGH". That one is pretty poppy, but has a slight 80s vibe and also a but funky, so I have no problem with it. Sounds great for CHR.

Yeah, most people know who their target demographic is, and that works against them for sure. I just wasn't expecting, demographics considered, them to try to transition from Public Image, Ltd. Jr. on their first record, to Scritti Politti Jr. on this latest single and kind of pull both of them off reasonably well. I'm way too late to the party on this, it appears, but I'm a slight step above mildly amused in what they're doing.

I don't even remember how it found its way to me, really. But, I think it's amazing with the number of 80s groups that you can look up on the Wikipedia, and they'll have dates of activity like (198X-198Y, 20XX-present). They ALL break up and get back together and go back on tour. Except The Smiths, of course!

"The Sound" just got 3 Alt adds today BTW, so it's definitely the second single

I have the 12 extended version of "Perfect Way" and the 45' single. They were more Sophisti- Pop than New Wave. The U.K. Loved the Sophisti-Pop bands. Go West was another favourit of mine. "Love Me" would have been side by side with "Perfect Way" in the top 10 in mid 1985.
