Remember how the Internet thought Bow Wow and Keyshia Cole were dating? Well, the rumor mill is now churning out a messy breakup between the two. On Wednesday (Mar 9.) – which is also Bow Wow’s birthday – the rapper/actor took to Twitter to share that one of his exes took a cue from the film A Thin Line Between Love & Hate. He claims that someone “threw a cake” on a Rolls Royce, but aimed for the wrong vehicle.
Bow Wow’s friend WackStar, was a little less cryptic, calling Cole out directly while posting a photo of the vehicle in question. “@keyshiacole check this out blood i don’t got nothing to do wit what ever you got going on 4 you to egg my car , keep me out the bulls**t,” he wrote.
According to TMZ, Cole is denying any involvement with the ordeal. The site also reports that the singer “called out Bow Wow on Twitter for ‘snitching.’” The gist of the word on the Web is that Bow Wow called it quits, but neither party has gone into details about their courtship.
Keyshia Cole has officially gone independent. To celebrate the big move, the R&B songstress has announced a brand new single, “Best Friend.”
She revealed the exciting news on Instagram, sharing some details about her new journey, including a partnership with EMPIRE Distribution.
“Decided to release the first single independent!!!! #BestFriend coming soon,” she wrote. “This a very special record for me!!! And I have one of my favs mixing the record!!!! @jaycenjoshua #Family!!! Thanks Jay and also #Empire #Empire and I have decided to team up!!! I really hope u guys Fall in love with the record as much as I have.”
Last year, Cole told Rap-Up TV that Prince inspired her to go the indie route after releasing six albums on Interscope.
“The one time I did meet Prince, he told me he’d do a song with me if I go independent,” she said. “I’ve been wanting to do it and I’m excited to see what happens at least. When I signed to Interscope everything was already like whatever I wanted to do. Nobody really told me what direction to go in. I never was a packaged album, so I felt like from the beginning, this is all my ideas, it’s all who I am. I’m true to who I am so I want to control it. Why not?”
The Amadeus-produced “Best Friend” is expected to appear on her upcoming seventh album. In September, Cole debuted a London On Da Track-produced collaboration with Young Thug called “Don’t Waste My Time.”
“I don’t know which direction I wanna go in,” she told Rap-Up of the follow-up to 2014’s Point of No Return. “I don’t know if I want it to be more fun, I don’t know if I want it to be more heartfelt or if I want it upbeat, medium to slow. I’m just recording and recording and recording.”
