Robbin Trains available on Itunes/apple music. Good song to kick off the album. Every song has been solid, none have totally blown me away like some on his last album. Only 3 songs released though, 16 on album bound to be some sensational ones.
Really interested in hearing the collab with Brantley.

"Robbin' Trains" is great, I think it would be a good single candidate.

^ Okay, that made me laugh. lol
We haven't heard the whole album yet but I think the guitar work and melody of "Robbin' Trains" would work well as the next single.

I have a feeling we are going to see Justin Moore give us a solid country album and one of the stand out albums in mainstream country music.

I have a feeling we are going to see Justin Moore give us a solid country album and one of the stand out albums in mainstream country music. Although his albums don't sell as well as other more mainstream acts, i think he deserves an album of the year nomination. All his albums have been great so far.

Wow Robbin trains is excellent. I would've put that out as lead single if I were the label.

"You Look Loke I Need A Drink" is probably my favorite single of Justin's since 2011 ("If Heaven Wasn't So Far Away") but I think I like "Robbin' Trains" even better. The song just flows so wonderfully and it's one of the few times I saw a song title and it turned out to be exactly what I hoped it would be about when I clicked play.

The song just flows so wonderfully and it's one of the few times I saw a song title and it turned out to be exactly what I hoped it would be about when I clicked play. I quite enjoy this one as well and wholeheartedly agree it's one of his best singles, which only makes me more disappointed that like no one is buying it. With it on the cusp of the Top 10, it still has yet to even make the Hot 100 because of how poorly it has been selling. If it continues to move up (i.e. make the Top 10), then I do expect it to make it onto the Hot 100 (it's close to getting there), but this one just hasn't caught on the way any of his other radio hits have. Everything else he's taken to the Top 20 (with the exception of "How I Got to Be This Way") has sold well enough to be at least Gold and wound up with a pretty respectable peak on the Hot 100, so this is one is a pretty big anomaly in his hits catalog. Will be interesting to see how single #2 does and if it gets him back on track.

Considering how well his singles sell, I'm surprised that he's never hit Top 40 on the Hot 100. He just seems to always coast along whenever he has a hit. Even "If Heaven Wudden So Far Away" only got to #49, which surprises me.
I'm curious to see if this will be the first Top 10 country hit not to enter the hot 100 since "I Wanna Feel That Way Again" in late 1998.

I really hope this hits the Top 10. I like this song well enough. That said, I think Kinda Don't Care is a great tune that I'd love to hear on radio.

Since I have an early copy of the album already I will say that my favorite songs so far are "Robbin' Trains", "Put Me In A Box", "Kinda Don't Care", "Somebody Else Will", "Pick Up Lines" and "More Middle Fingers". "Robbin' Trains", "Kinda Don't Care" and "Somebody Else Will" are potential singles at some point in my opinion. I think "Somebody Else Will" or "Kinda Don't Care" will be the second single with the other being third and if it goes 4 singles deep "Robbin' Trains" will be the 4th and final single.

Just picked up my copy and wow I thought his last album pushed the envelope but this has only three country sounding songs on it. The rest is more of the same garbage being shoved down our throats. Guess I should have seen it coming. Just not my cup of tea, even his twang can't help most of these songs. I've listened to the lead single and the four promotional singles, and they all sound pretty country sounding to me. They don't exactly sound boundary-pushing to me. They sound a lot more country than most of what's on country radio actually. Admittedly I haven't heard the full album yet, but I'm actually really looking forward to it.

Listening to the new record on Apple Music. Liking it! Justin definitely pushed the envelope in terms of sounds, but without doubt remains country. I say Hell on a Highway needs to be released. As far as More Middle Fingers goes...well anyone that takes it seriously is no fun at all! lol.

I really love "Kinda Don't Care", "Hell on a Highway", "Middle Class Money", "When I Get Home", "Robbin' Trains", and "More Middle Fingers", but I think a lot of the album is mainstream sounding. "Hell on a Highway" should definitely be a single and I also want to hear "Kinda Don't Care" on the radio so I'm hoping for one of those songs to be the second single.

I love "You Look Like I Need A Drink" its a great song and fits Justin perfect. My question would be how many people agree with me? "YLLINAD" is not selling too well, and even though its top 10 at "Country Radio" it has failed to enter the the Billboard Hot 100. I hope this can become another #1 for Justin but these seem like bad signs, someone please correct me if I am wrong.

As far as I can tell this isn't showing any signs of stalling at least in the top 10. On the Mediabase rolling chart it's up 307 spins from the last week which corresponded to an increase of 1 million in audience, so it's definitely getting top 10 conversions. Based on this I think it should go at least top 5 then we'll have to see how it behaves to make the call on whether it goes #1.

It depends if the label wants a #1 out of it or if they want to get another single out to coincide with the album release.
Justin is in okay position career-wise. I think it may be best to get a new single out relatively soon vs waiting 2 more months just to say this was a #1 (when it really isn't).

Posted this in the album's listening party thread, but I decided to put it here too. Justin talked with Rolling Stone about Kinda Don't Care and the change in sound. Re-quoted the parts that struck me the most. This article ended up being so sad and it's not the first album release article (Rolling Stone, especially) where instead of going through most of the individual tracks and the stories behind the songs, we have a bulk of an album article about the "change in sound" from a Country artist, to fit with what radio desires from these labels nowadays. This particular part is absolutely true but still... If you listen to this album, the studio elements they're talking about like "loops" and "pop beats", really start showing up by track 4 with "Hell On A Highway." Wow...like, seriously? So as long as Justin Moore sings it, it's Country...uh, no. I don't care how twangy a voice may be, it can't override auto-tune, drum loops, beat boxes or whatever other Pop studio elements producers and labels try to force into a song's recording. Jason Aldean, Thomas Rhett and Tyler Hubbard have the most twangy sounding voices on planet earth but I still consider "Burinin' It Down", "Vacation" and "H.O.L.Y." Pop songs, through and through. I don't have any experience producing or recording a studio album but stop it, lol. At least they admitted that they sometimes feel guilty for trying to dupe fans but that's a total excuse to continue these songs being churned into Pop tracks. I used to believe (up until about 2-3 years ago) that labels would go out of their way to make room for acts like Justin Moore to be allotted "Country" guys. They still have their Thomas Rhett, FGL and Chris Lane's of the world but at least they can create a spot for guys who sing traditional leaning stuff that radio can and will make room for...now I'm not so sure. It's nice we've seen rebounds in more traditional leaning stuff from Jon Pardi and William Michael Morgan, that broke out in 2016, but then I read this article and listen to Justin Moore's album and think yeah, they're still hell bent on pushing this stuff onto artists because, that's what radio wants. When artists make albums, they always have to keep in mind "will this work/do well at radio?" I don't think Moore's album is bad but it's not what I was hoping for.

That's a big problem too. Producers need to stop thinking they are top-40 and GTFO. This is country music and we don't need your freakin' drum loops and synth beats. It sounds like trash, get over yourself.

Posted this in the album's listening party"My producer pulls me aside and goes, 'Dude, have you ever thought about the fact that if you sing it, it sounds country? If you sing it, it's you. Don't worry about all this,'" he recalls. "I thought, you know what, you're right. I have passion for this music. It's a little different than what we've done, but I love it." "At times in our industry, some of us are guilty of thinking we can dupe the fans" Wow...like, seriously? So as long as Justin Moore sings it, it's Country...uh, no. I don't care how twangy a voice may be, it can't override auto-tune, drum loops, beat boxes or whatever other Pop studio elements producers and labels try to force into a song's recording. At least they admitted that they sometimes feel guilty for trying to dupe fans but that's a total excuse to continue these songs being churned into Pop tracks. [/quote] That's the part of the article that really disturbed me. That's the attitude that's killing country music, and will eventually kill country radio. People will only put up with second rate "twangy pop" for so long. What's sad is that based on this song and the title cut (the only two songs I'd heard prior to today), I thought he might be pivoting back to more traditional fare. Justin's always been a contemporary artist (he's had the occasional traditional sounding song, but he's much closer to Jason Aldean than he is George Strait), so the whole premise of the article is a bit of a stretch, but it's still completely disheartening to hear him try to rationalize making music he knows to be inferior.

I just find it hilarious that a country album from a country singer titled "Kinda Don't Care" is more in line with "I kinda don't care that I'm making pop country" as opposed to "I kinda don't care I'm still making real country music".
Kinda like how Jake Owen kinda don't care that "American Country Love Song" is far from such.
Is there something in the Nashville water?

Can someone please tell me where I can find the album with the song "Amen" on it? I've looked at Walmart, Target and Best Buy. Nobody has the version with that song. ITunes don't either so obviously its an exclusive track but where at?

Based on this I think it should go at least top 5 then we'll have to see how it behaves to make the call on whether it goes #1. I personally don't see this one contending for #1, and I think the only reason it has even an outside shot at the top 5 is because the top 20 (with the exception of the current top 5) is so soft right now. What I mean by "soft" is...there are a lot of songs in the teens that are old (this one + the ones from Kip and WMM) or that radio simply doesn't seem to be all that excited about (Blake's SGAWWW, Tucker's "Rock On", ZBB's "Castaway", and Brad's "Without A Fight"). Justin should easily pass FGL and Eric Church this week (one of them will go recurrent) which will move YLLINAD up to #8, and he'll move to #7 when Chris Lane drops below/goes recurrent. But YLLINAD is 41 weeks old already, and while Justin has been known to have slower climbs, this is one of the slowest climbs of all-time...not just for Justin, but for anybody. This would probably need 44 or 45 weeks just to crack the top 5, and so I definitely don't think a top 5 peak is guaranteed here. But, a peak of #6 or #7 is very possible, simply because there are no challengers immediately behind Justin, and there are 3 songs just ahead of him that are falling. Behind Justin, we have Blake who is struggling quite a bit, but I think Blake will probably eventually get past Justin and make it into the top 5 first (SGAWWW could very well break Blake's #1 streak, though...like Justin, Blake should be grateful that the chart is so soft behind him, because otherwise I'd say he'd be in jeopardy of missing the top 5, too). Obviously the new tunes from Kenny Chesney, Luke Bryan, and Cole Swindell are going to be big hits, and it looks like LoCash and Billy Currington have possible future #1's on their hands as well. The jury is still out on Tucker Beathard...he'll definitely go top 10 but "Rock On" has been quite the non-event so I'm not sure if it'll make it all the way to the top. In any case, he's too far behind Justin to be a threat. Justin will start dropping before Tucker could ever catch him. ZBB's "Castaway" will probably go top 10 but I don't see it making it to #1, and again, this is a song that's way too far behind Justin to be a threat. Kip has probably peaked at #13, and William Michael Morgan will probably last for a few more weeks and secure a peak in the 11-15 range. So Justin will probably move up a few more spots by default, simply because a) there are literally no songs behind him (besides maybe Blake's SGAWWW) that will pass him anytime soon and b) there are 3 -- soon to be 4 -- songs ahead of him that are falling. I think a #7 or #6 peak will be the ceiling, though. All in all, the chart just looks really weird right now. The top 5 is very strong, and Dierks is sitting at #9 with a huge hit on his hands. But other than that, a lot of songs are old and not selling, or are just floundering around and not really making much noise. Thus, I think the main reason Justin has made it this high (and might be able to climb a few more spots yet) is because of the weak competition surrounding him. Not really related to Justin's song here, but I look for Kenny, Cole, Luke, Jason, and possibly Miranda to race through the teens. They'll make quick work of the soft chart ahead of them. The only older songs in the teens that are likely to peak high on the chart are LoCash's "I Know Somebody" and Billy's "It Don't Hurt Like It Used To", but even those two songs will have to eventually fall in line behind Kenny and Luke, and possibly Cole and Miranda as well.
