"Hello, it's Me" is iconic already. Such a brilliant opening. I get CHILLS. The most iconic "I'm back, bitches" imaginable.

The song will pick up and "they say time's supposed to heal ya, but I haven't done much healin'" will be the massive hook of the song. I guarantee it!

A little bit off topic, but it's about time we get to an era that starts with these teasers. I've missed them. Reminds me of Roar. Did Taylor do any teasers for Shake it Off?

This could potentially be the most anticipated single release since... "I Just Can't Stop Loving You" in 1987.. How random. Were you even alive back in 1987? I'd say this is definitely has the same hype as Born This Way, or very close to it. No, but I don't need to be alive to realize how big something is/was. I would even argue that this is more hyped than "Born This Way," which is quite the accomplishment since BTW had massive hype. "Hello, it's Me" is iconic already. Such a brilliant opening. It shot 21 back into the Top 100 of iTunes after only a 20 second snippet. That is pretty incredible, to be honest. I can't wait to see how this does in its first week. Obviously the digital age isn't what it used to be, but this could be looking at 400k in its first week, maybe even pushing 500k? Depends on the quality of the song, of course, which will determine just how far it will go. Anything less than 350k will be a huge disappointment, to be honest.

The expectations during the next era will be astronomical. No wonder she's taken her time with it.

1. I agree that the "Hello. It's me." is kinda chilling. 2. The clip doesn't excite me musically but I assume the "..." means something big is coming in the chorus? 3. I wonder if this is the single or if that verse just seemed to work for a teaser situation. 4. I'm crossing my fingers for a full release this Friday. If Bieber/Ariana are coming 10/30, why not throw this out there on 10/23 and get a full takeover? 5. This is going to be so fun. I really hope it's good just so we can see how MASSIVE this comeback can be.

I'm curious if what we heard is actually part of a new single or if that ad was a tease and what kind of an album we will be getting from Adele. In the past I believe she wanted an album that was more piano driven and from what we heard it was her and a piano, and as for the words is that something telling us the type of songs she's putting on the album.

Todd Rundgren thinks so too.... I don't think it's the single it just worked well for an ad I think It works SO well for the ad that the more I listen to it the more I think it's not even a song on the album, but a clip that was written just to be a musical teaser. I'm probably wrong, but it's a fun idea

I also think it just worked really well for the intro to the entire era. Out of no where comes this angelic voice saying "hello, it's me..." and it worked perfectly. Maybe with the hype they will release as a single before the actual single type situation but I think this is all very well planned. Of course, maybe it is the single and it just also happened to have the perfect line to use for the promo roll-out. I hope we find out soon.
I definitely don't think it was written just for the ad, though. The lyrics after the first 3 words make it pretty clear it is a song with a deeper meaning than just being used to roll-out the album.

I like the clip it sounds very emotional. My favorite song by her is "Someone Like you" so I was kind of hoping for something like that over "Rumor Has It" and "Rolling In The Deep".

Supposedly this is coming out the same day as Focus.. Poor Lolita Grande Yes, because the first week it will be of pure overreaction. Only after a while we'll see if the song can survive the hype, but everything that it'll be released in the same week will be problably buried alive. Anyway, Ariana established herself with her last album, so she'll survive the hurricane for sure

Wonder if it'll debut on something bigger than just a radio station. Like wouldn't it be crazy if it was debuted on Google.com or at the top of everyone's Facebook page? Seems farfetched, but I wouldn't put it past them since a snippet went to a TV commercial.
