The clip reminds me of something, but I can't put my finger on it. Im just sick and tired of you all liking every single song I hate, it annoys me. Almost every song that I hate has like more than 150 posts and almost every song I like can barely reach 100 posts. It annoys me that everyone likes the crappy songs and hates the good songs. 1) You never stated whether or not you liked this song. All you said is that it would flop. Discussing a song's potential success does not equate to an individual's opinion of said song. 2) It's a short clip. We have heard the song is full. You cannot say if you like or dislike the song at all when all we have is a 15 second clip of the intro. You can like or dislike the clip we have received, and no one is telling you which to do, but, like I already stated, you did not mention in the slightest of your opinion of the clip in terms of quality. 3) Do not attack people for their music tastes. Even if people attack you, you report them, you do not attack back. Attacking people for their music tastes is absurd and very, very rude. 4) If you cannot find a niche here in which to openly discuss your musical tastes without an "oppressed" feeling, then maybe this forum is not for you. (Though, nearly all genres are represented on this forum. You can find people to talk to, I'm sure of it. Going into threads of songs you don't like is probably not the way to do it.)

It's still bizarre to me how badly Skyfall flopped at CHR. I mean it was a pretty boring song, but the first new material since one of the biggest albums of the 21st century and tied to a massive film, and it couldn't get past #38? Artists like Bieber, Ellie Goulding, Demi Lovato etc peak higher than that in a week with new singles.
I'm sure this will do better, but let's not pretend she's invincible.

Love her voice and apparently this is about her daddy issues so it should be a powerful song. I am slightly curious that they went with a slow, dark song for the first single rather than something a bit more like RHI or RITD. I hope the chorus is amazing.

The clip reminds me of something, but I can't put my finger on it. The piano/background music reminds me of Run by Leona during the beginning/verses.

I agree with some past comments, this is only a tease intro to the song that will roll into something anthemic and exciting

It annoys me that everyone likes the crappy songs and hates the good songs. It just can't be that everyone else is wrong and you're right. Maybe there's something wrong with you and everyone else is right.
We can't really expect you to offer any sort of constructive criticism or an opinion when your idea of good music consists of songs heard in viral Vines and stuff by random rappers. You have a history of this sort of thing so that needs to be taken into account. You don't like female popstars. You don't like aging female popstars. And you hate those top of the hour radio deals for new singles and you spout off this nonsense about these songs allegedly getting too exposed and people don't like them and they don't buy them and then they flop time after time. It's just exhausting.
I dug through your post history for these gems. None of these have been edited down or shortened as the evidence speaks for itself.
From a Selena Gomez topic:
DAMNIT! Not another Selena Gomez song,, grrrr, hopefully this one gets old very fast just like THWWIW
Again I really hope this turns out to be a flop
Come and Get It was very annoying and one of the worst songs ever, Selena is not as good as she used to be, so it will probably flop quicker than you expect
Dont get your hopes up, this song will end up flopping and getting old very fast just like THWWIW and IWYTK
Selena Gomez has always been overrated, just because they are apparently popular, they end up making the media fall for the song and playing it on radio often, and that never makes room for any newer singers and artists to come on top, people should come to realize most of the older artists have dried out and are not popular anymore, after like a month this song will be completely dead, Ill give it max 2 months
From a Demi Lovato topic:
DO NOT TELL ME this song will be played every hour to make sure it debuts high... Gah...
Again, how many times do people need to know that Older Artists do not always make good songs EXAMPLE, Britney Spears, she had 3 Songs the last 2 years that was played on Top of Hour for a day Ooh La La, Work Bitch, and Pretty Girls, and guess what, all of them were HORRIBLE and they flopped If all 3 of those songs were sang by a newer artist, they would have never made the chart By doing this it made 3 crappy Britney Spears songs chart that didnt even deserve it because it was horrible
Well what if Radio hears it too and it ends up being horrible and they do not like They need to play songs by new artists often instead of older artists, most older artists songs are dying out and not being too good anymore, especially the Females
From the Lil Wayne topic:
Great new Lil Wayne song out, its actually one of the best songs he made, sounds just like his 2008 songs, I can definitely see this coming over on pop too, what do you all think?
From a Billboard topic on The Weeknd:
Cant Feel My Face better not hit Number 1 before Cheerleader, Cheerleader needs to be Number 1 before Cant Feel My Face takes over, if it ever does, Idk why everyone likes that overrated Weeknd song, both Weeknd songs are overrated, also Classic Man is coming for that Number 1 spot in near future as well, so we will see what ends up happening
From a Justin Bieber topic:
Do not tell me they are going to force us to like the song like they did with Pretty Girls, Good For You, and Cool for the Summer by playing it on radio every hour when it debuts? Odds are it wont be that great...
From a Jennifer Lopez topic:
J-Los songs are horrible now, why do people still like her. Just because the name is Jennifer Lopez, it better not get a Deal where they play the song every hour on first day. Havent they seen how bad her last singles did? like I Luv your Papi, First Love, Booty, and a few more? This will fail too
From a T-Pain topic:
Great song. Tpain never fails to disappoint!
From a Rico Richie topic:
Holy s**t, this song is amazing, this song is actually poppin!!!
Clearly Pulse Music Board is not the place for you. Your obscenely atypical and contrarian viewpoints clearly are not a good fit here and it's only going to get harder and more embarrassing for you.

@walker9, You should've known better to post stuff like that when there's 10+ people who can barely contain their excitement because of this. While you are allowed too state your opinion, be prepared for people too defend the song/artist and judging from a few of your other posts(including this one,) you don't critisim well.

That OneRepublic tweet makes me wonder if this is one of the ones that Tedder had a hand in. It certainly doesn't really sound like it from the clip (if that is even the actual single), but if you played me just the bridge from Rumour Has It, I'd have said the same.

Artists like Bieber, Ellie Goulding, Demi Lovato etc peak higher than that in a week with new singles. I'm sure this will do better, but let's not pretend she's invincible. Skyfall (like Writing's on the wall) is a film song, a song made to be a sountrack that works well on the context of the film. That type of songs generally doesn't translate well into pop, and we have even Let it go as example (if people would prefered the Demi's version maybe it would be another story). Yes she was very popular back them, but the daily deal didn't do nothing for the song, anyway the sales were good and the award season benefited it a lot. 19 did very well on sales without any of the singles doing any damage on the pop charts (not even after the grammys), even when Chasing pavements and Make you feel my love are gorgeous songs. Her album is going to be massive (of course not as massive as 21) but her singles success probably won't be even remotely near of that, even pop divas known for being himakers rarely are able to score a second big single era after a big one, and she is not a hitmaker in that sense. Rolling in the deep was so big that carry all the rest, and 21 was full of potential singles (Turning tables or Do you remember could easily be top 10 or top 20, in the worst case, songs if they were released back then) but we don't know if that will be the case this time

I don't know if this will be the lead single, or if it's an album tease. It sounds a little too sparse to be a CHR single, but maybe the chorus is a killer?
Either way, this song sounds like it's going to an emotional nuclear bomb and will have Grammy's HURLED at it.

Calling this to be a flop. Watch. This could potentially be the most anticipated single release since... "I Just Can't Stop Loving You" in 1987.. How random. Were you even alive back in 1987? I'd say this is definitely has the same hype as Born This Way, or very close to it.

I am guessing that song is either an interlude or was written specifically for a commercial to promote the album. I'm willing to bet that has nothing to do with the lead single.
Having said that, I love it :)

I just hope they don't fuck up the release date and send it out on a Thursday or something stupid like that. She has the potential to break records with the single too, imo. Could break Flo Rida's record.

We've only heard a snippet of the song, but it sounds very intriguing that the snippet is written as a dialogue. I can't put my finger on it, but there is something just a little "off" that makes the music very striking. And I mean that in a good way.
Haha that probably made no sense, though.

"Hello, it's Me" is iconic already. Such a brilliant opening.
