The lyrics look like Kesha trying to write a Swiftian breakup song with her own twist

"Home Alone Tonight" has about 500k in total audience already on MB, so this should at the very least be in the New and Active section of Billboard Airplay this week, if not chart.

We should get official confirmation this is Luke's next/new single tomorrow, or sometime this week. "Home Alone Tonight" is starting to rapidly pick up spins, on MB.

Please God No, this song is horrible. I like some of Luke's songs. This is just garbage, which means it will most likely be a #1.

Luke is 0/3 in the Kill The Lights era for me despite this being my favorite single so far. It's a bit immature, the production is a little messy, and it just never clicks. It's not terrible, but it's nothing special. Also the "shot, shot, clock, tick, tock, rock, sock, stock" rhyme irritates me a lot.
But hey at least it's not "Move". For now.

Karen sounds bored on this. Not a terrible song, certainly a step up from "Kick the Oriental Riff Out" or "Strip a Clown".

After finally hearing this a couple times now, I've decided my personal opinion of this song's lyrics: "Grow the hell up."

After finally hearing this a couple times now, I've decided my personal opinion of this song's lyrics: "Grow the hell up." It's pretty sad that this is being sung by a 40 year old man. The lyrics would lead you to believe it's a 20 year old singing this. But unfortunately (though expectingly), this is catching on fire with both radio and the sales charts, so we can expect a future #1 here.

I do like this song better than Strip It Down AND Kick The Dust Up. Sad when That's My Kinda Night is far better than Kick The Dust Up. C'mon Luke. I WANT to like your music!

Jody Stevens is given first writing credit on this. Not sure how old he is but he looked young in the picture I saw of him and Luke some time back, not surprisingly.
Luke's better than this and Karen is too. Such a commercial joke.
I'll be one of the first to defend Luke and his music but it's starting to make me look like a damn fool.

The thing is by releasing these Pop friendly Frat party jams is he is only going to pidgeonhole himself as that guy, which will grow increasingly harder to convey with sincerity as he ages. I'm not going to be lame and say every song needs to be a serious ballad or game changing midtempo, but there are other ways to have a fun uptempo song. Luke says he likes to fish. Well then make a fun story song about an awesome day of fishing! It's not that hard to be original, especially when you're in radio's good graces. Uptempo songs don't always have to be about damn partying.

They let you fantasize about doing something you'd probably never do. Would I ever send pictures of some new girl to my ex? Nah, probably not. But it's sure nice to think about if you're struggling over a girl who broke your heart. Same way I would never crash the wedding of an ex, but again, there are times it would helps to think about doing it.

And I know this song isn't a party song per se, but lets bet honest, its probably targeting the same demographic with this one. It's mostly just frustrating because there are actual quality songs on this album, and this is not one of them IMO.

I predict that this will be a similar case to Somethin' Bad or Small Town Throw-Up, in that it'll zoom into the Top 10 based on the fact that it has two big names, then die around #7.

Maybe because it's just that I want to see him stop pushing crap up the charts at ludicrous speed.
