I know that Thanksgiving is still a week away but there have been a ton of new Christmas songs being sent to radio/iTunes the past few days, so I decided to start the Christmas Country Songs thread now.

Feel free to post new Christmas albums/song released over the next month and post some of your favorites over the years.

Tim Rushlow (Little Texas, Rushlow, Rushlow Harris) has released a new Christmas album called Classic Christmas, with his "Big Band."

The song called "What Do I Do With The Blue" is available to listen on All Access.

My favorite Christmas song is this beautiful duet between Sara Evans and Brad Paisley. He holds his own but man does Sara completely steal the show. Her vocal on this is absolutely ethereal.

I rarely listen to Christmas music before Thanksgiving (even a day or two, lol) but that was really good. Kellie's music has definitely improved as time has gone on and I hope she sings more Christmas music in the future.

I've never bought a full-length Christmas album before (I know, not even Sara's last year, lol), but I'd probably do it for Kellie Pickler if she ever made one. There's just something great about her doing Christmas tunes. I also like her renditions of "Santa Baby" and "The Man with the Bag" a lot, but this new one is definitely the best yet. <3

Every once in a while, I'll do a Christmas song in this thread as a "Random Song of the Day", but I might do a handful before Christmas in the RV Thread. Also, note that any MB or Billboard peak for these Christmas songs occurred in those two "holdover" weeks during Christmas and New Year's, so that's why they might seem a bit high.

I just listened to the new Christmas single by Kristian Bush called "Thinking About Drinking For Christmas" and I really like it. I love the instrumentation, lyrics and Kristian's vocals sound as good as I've ever heard from him.

This was what Kristian said in a press release about the song:

“I am proud to release my first-ever Christmas single. It feels like it has been a long time coming, and it could be the beginning of something fun,” Bush says in a press release. “I love Christmas music and have been writing Christmas songs as a tradition every year.

“Not sure if you feel like you might need a drink to handle your family during the holidays, but if you do, this could be your song,” he continues. “Christmas has a soundtrack, and I want to be on yours.”

The song was written by Kristian Bush and Brett James. It was serviced to country radio through Play MPe last month.

Thanks for posting, Sabre. Does anyone have any info on this song? Why it was recorded or what it was recorded for? I seem to remember downloading this off the original Napster about 15 years ago, so I know it's been around a long time (maybe that was a live version)? I'm just curious why this great song was never put on an album or a compilation.
