Only non-WME repped artist to win an on-TV award tonight was Little Big Town. I knew Miranda's affiliation with them was a reason she kept winning (since they do fight hard for these awards/noms) but at some point I just thought her ride would end.

The winners tonight have surprised me on the whole. I definitely didn't see Jason winning. Stapleton's wins were surprising?

I read the tweet as 7 of their 8 nominations won, not that they won 7 of 8 categories. Thanks.

I did not catch first part of the show tonight. What did Miranda perform?
She released two singles in 2015, one that peaked at 5, one at 32 (hot country songs, being generous here). No singles released yet in 2016. Sounds like a FVOTY to me!

They're different. Hot Country Songs chart tabulates sales and streams in its methodology. Country Airplay is strictly radio Airplay. Most here (as do labels) follow the Airplay chart and the Mediabase chart.

Don't care whatsoever about it.

I took his "being generous here" to mean that he knew their airplay peaks were lower.

I just realized with Jason aldean's ENTERAINER of the year win It'll be with his wins for new male Vocalist 10 years ago 2006 And male vocalist 2013-15 that means he's the next recipient or however it works for of the ACM Triple crown Award. Last winner as Mickey gilley last year for the 50th anniversary and of course Carrie underwood 2010.

I'm bummed that Carrie didn't win FVOTY tonight and I would've rather seen "Burning House" win either Single or Song instead of Cam going away empty handed, but I'm pretty complacent with how the awards went down. I also wanted M&T or J+R to win Vocal Duo over FGL, but I figured that wasn't going to happen. Performances were mostly good minus a few exceptions (Cole Swindell, for instance, was notably bad. I watched part of the show while my friend who is in music and I studied and he kept hearing all the notes he was missing and commented that 'this guy is really not sounding good,' and my response was that 'he normally doesn't,' lol.) But Carrie slayed, LBT's was fun, loved the Dolly/Katy duets, seeing Chris Young & Cassadee Pope sing their duet, etc.

I really enjoyed the show. Cam was my favorite performance of the night. I was so bummed to see that she walked away empty handed. Carrie's performance was also stellar. At least they did something with the performance. As great as I think the Storyteller Tour looks from photos and the ocassional video, THAT was the performance that should've been released as the video.
I LOVED Little Big Town's new arrangement on "Stay All Night." That's one of my favorite songs from the Pain Killer album.
Tim's performance of "Humble and Kind" was good. He sounded a bit pitchy to me (less than he has in the past, though).
Dolly and Katy were...interesting. I really would've loved to see Dolly up there by herself. I like Katy every now and then but her outfit was a bit odd. And, her vocals seemed weak.
I'm thrilled Chris keeps racking up the awards, because he truly deserves the recognition. I REALLY wish Carrie would've taken FVOTY. I mean, come on...it's becoming more of a joke now. (And that's coming from a big Miranda fan). The logistics other than her WME affiliation do not add up.
Oh and before I forget, please tell me I was not the only one who thought Dierks should've gotten more talk time. I hope he gets the slot back next year.
Overall, it was a pretty good show. Probably one of the best I've seen in years. It was odd not to see Bead there but it was good.
I would've taken out Sam Hunt's performance slot and replaced it with Jennifer Nettles and "Unlove You."
Performance rankings: 1. Cam 2. Carrie Underwood 3. Little Big Town 4. Dolly Parton + Katy Perry 5. Kelsea Ballerini + Nick Jonas 6. Chris Young + Cassadee Pope 7. Chris Stapleton 8. Luke Bryan 9. Tim McGraw 10. Old Dominion 11. Thomas Rhett 12. Eric Church 13. Miranda Lambert + Keith Urban + ZZ Top (I know it was only one of them, but I cant remember his name). 14. Kenny Chesney 15. Blake Shelton 16. Dierks Bentley 17. Charles Kelley 18. Keith Urban 19. Brett Eldredge 20. Jason Aldean 21. Cole Swindell 22. Florida Georgia Line 23. Sam Hunt

I've only seen Little Big Town so far. I have to say that I have never heard Jimi sound like that before... he must have been sick. I hope that's all it is... ever since he had that polyp on his vocal chords, I worry :( . It was weird hearing Jimi sound less than stellar because he's a powerhouse and his vocals are always killer on "Stay All Night" (I've heard it live in person 4 times lol.) Also, the sound system sucked as usual and I wasn't impressed with Trombone Shorty at all. I dunno. It was still overall a very good and fun performance, but it wasn't one of their best.

Just finished watching. Better to post in bullet points to stay in the good graces of the admins...
1. Crowd shots are terrible. Enough already. 2. Why does Charles Kelley get a slot for that? 3. The Jonas spot was stupid. Took away from her performance. 4. Not saying Little Big Town doesn't deserve everything they get but good Lord in Heaven when is Zac Brown going to get an award.... 5. Dierks was horrible. Luke was horrible. Bring back Blake... 6. Carrie is losing me more and more with every album. Still beautiful and sings better than anyone but her material is just yuck to me. 7. Miranda performance was a complete waste. She should have had a new single to debut. 8. I never in a million years would have thought I would be saying Florida Georgia Line had one of the best performances of the night. 9. I am with the earlier poster that isn't a fan of Humble and Kind. It's okay but a station turner for me.
Overall the winners were as expected. The show as a whole was one of the worst that I can remember.

You know what I just realized. I think Miranda Lambert should've performed "Sweet By And By" I think if she performed that, it would've been fascinating, also she should really ditch her current producer and have Dave Cobb as her producer as I think if she teams up with him, she could probably make some top notch country music.
