Dolly is my hero. The reason I started listening to Country as a child. She'll be my hero til the day I die. Just amazing.

Florida Georgia Line sound great! Glad they performed "Confession", It's one of their best songs and any extra exposure is fine by me in my books. Hope this means they'll push it an extra week or two to get it #1.

Chris Stapleton's and his wife's voices blend together really really well.

The winners tonight have surprised me on the whole. I definitely didn't see Jason winning.

what a farce - saw both Eric and Jason in concert this year and Eric's show was miles better than Jason's. I've seen Jason multiple times and he really doesn't excite me all that much live. They got this one wrong.

Overall, only upset about Miranda's win... Predicted it, but not happy with it. Otherwise, a great show and great winners all around! ... Even Jason; not a fan but it's been a long time coming for him. Congrats to the winners!

Seems odd that Jason won this on an 'off' year for him. But, he does seem like someone who should win this at some point, so good for him.

Come on. Ridiculous. Church is the better entertainer. An absolute crime. Maybe at the CMA's Eric.
Such a crime that he can't win anything when he works 100 times harder on his music probably in a year than Aldean has in his entire career. Such a shame to see all his dirt road garbage material get recognized. Just speechless at this crap.

I'm surprised Aldean won since his sales were way down. While overall Eric Church sells more. Heck I would have taken Luke Bryan.

If it was between Jason and Luke (my wife said Jason, I said Luke) I could see it going to Jason. I think "Old Boots, New Dirt" has been a more important album in Jason's career than "Kill the Lights" for Luke. I would have been tickled if Church would have won but didn't have a lot of hope that it would happen

Pretty big accomplishment for Chris.

his whining was directed at the cma though While I can't speak for him. I think the general point is that Jason Aldean just keeps on whining overall about awards so hopefully this will stop getting him to complain as a whole.

I actually think the opposite - "Old Boots" didn't do much new for Jason, while "Kill The Lights" helped establish Luke is the 'it' artist of now.

Well this show this year wasn't that predictable but it was a leg up from the sausage fest so called anniversary last year. Good Jason- his win he's been overdue for a long long time and his performance I liked although the lights and vocals yikes Carrie- that performance slayed me Chris - his is such a great vocalist he may entertainer of the year nominee sometime in the future Fgl- confession is growing on me LBT- I thought that was their funnest performance yet and good rendition Dierks- somewhere on a beach is growing on me don't judge me lol Chris/cassadee - loved it Dolly/ Katy- best thing ever, I like Katy I was nervous about this paring but it worked out fine. Tim- humble and kind is definitely song of the year and possibly decade Mediocre Thomas- I didn't like it. Love the song not the off key and changed tone Luke- love his new song but didn't love the opening Brett- he performs better in concert but that was not good at all Ugh Blake- just no Old dominion-these dudes win over Maddie and Tae wow ! I'm still bothered by this a lot Miranda beating carrie- DAMMIT ACMS cam losing to Thomas Rhett - Damn, dam, Damn I wish Joey feek would've gotten a better tribute tho. Like performance and presentation long not just one minute but I'm glad they gave her some mention.

Overall thoughts. The great stuff was Cam, Kelsea Ballerini, Carrie Underwood, Chris Stapleton, Dolly Parton and Katy Perry, Tim McGraw and Miranda Lamberts performance (seriously I think Miranda Lambert performance was the best of the night). The meh was Kenny Chesney, Thomas Rhett (I am so over Thinking Out Loud Die A Happy Man), Cole Swindell and Sam Hunt also FGL was not half bad as well as Keith Urban. The bad was Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, Old Dominion (arguably the worst performance), Chris & Cassadee (something must have been off for them because they in studio have great voices but that performance was way off) and Brett Eldredge. Little Big Town on rewatch is just something I'm not even going to bother to analyze at all as I can't even decide which category it falls in. So overall I'd give the show a C+, there was enough good to outweigh the bad but I found the bad to be particularly awful while the good wasn't quite as iconic as it could be. Highlights for me are Miranda Lambert and Katy & Dolly, with honorable mentions going to Tim McGraw and Chris Stapleton.

I don't get what's so great about "Humble and Kind." It has a nice message, sure, but there's nothing original or inventive about. Like "I Hope You Dance," it's like someone bought 10 Hallmark cards and strung them together.
