As toxic as Future was for her life, he did wonders for her music. I need that CIARA energy harnessed and “leveled up” for the next album. Otherwise she can KEEP it.

I don’t see what he did and thats no shade to him at all. Creatively, Jasper had no records on Basic Instinct that made the album; although he had many that leaked from those sessions. After leaving Jive, she immediately got into the studio with him. When she’s with Jasper, HE GETS HER. CIARA had been created except Body Party,Im Out,Keep On Lookin, and Where You Go. The co writer of 2 of those has been working with her since on Jackie and Beauty Marks. Yall gon say you don’t like whatever she serves anyway😂 can’t wait for the new music to drop!

I remember I said this on Twitter and mfs were coming for my head smh. Rightfully so. Glad they gathered you. How can yall be fans an even credit him like that? He only got the executive credit because he was dicking her down tbh. He got credit for Body Party adlibs, and a feat other than that his name is no where in the album. Sophomore leaked the previous summer with the demo version, so did Livin it up without Nicki, leaked Overdose, and DUI & Read My lips was played at the One Woman Army Album listening sessions. That's majority of the album before she even met him in November of that year which allowed her to link up with Mike Will to help finish Body Party which was already written by her and Jasper. Then Where You Go and Nicki adding her verses to her respective songs. And boom there's your album. |

Listen to Future's projects from that same time period and you can tell his influence was present on that album idc idc idc! And at least there was a sense of cohesion and vibe present that both Jackie and Stretch Marks sorely lacked. CIARA was the last record she made that felt like her finger was on the pulse of what's current. But if y'all think Rock City and Ester Dean n’em will keep her on top, go awf! 🥴  |

Check the threads, i know all of his material🤗 Set was right in the vein of Apeshi* sonically...I Bet and Level Up both went platinum co written by Theron. He may not be serving what you like, but somebody liked the records. She def has been cooking up more urban/r&b material for this project. Hopefully its a great era.

Yall gon say you don’t like whatever she serves anyway😂 Not true. I can only speak for myself but I think others here feel the same way I do. Being a big fan since the very first time I heard "Goodies", I know what she's capable of and she's given us quality albums and visuals. That is why it's so disappointing seeing her not live up to her potential. "Ciara" is a masterpiece and the potential was there for it to be her return to form and put her back in the A.List artist position. At least in R&B if not mainstream again. I feel like she's much more interested in being a celebrity/brand now....which is fine. It's her choice. But it's sad seeing other R&B female artists thriving when that could've been Ciara too. I wish she would reconsider signing to a major again, but if music is not her top priority (which it doesn't appear to be) then she most likely won't. |

Poor “Fantasy Ride” and “Basic Instinct”. both highly underrated albums, for sure.. I agree Fantasy Ride is definitely underrated. I’m not surprised that Basic Instinct’s stream are low. Both projects were so mishandled though, and yet still managed to deliver a platinum single. |
