Closer notches the #1 spot for three consecutive weeks, the third most of all and behind Bad Blood and Can't Stop The Feeling (4 consecutive weeks).
Three songs debut in the top 5:
- The Greatest becomes Sia's first entry and Kendrick Lamar's second entry on the chart, Kendrick Lamar previously reached the top 5 with Bad Blood(#1 for 4 weeks).
- That's My Girl becomes Fifth Harmony's fourth top 5 entry, after Write On Me(#3), Work From Home(#1 fot 1 week), and Worth It(#4).
- Better becomes Meghan Trainor's tenth top 5 entry (the most ever) and extends Meghan's record for most weeks in top 5 (44 weeks).
LOCASH earn the second top 5 entry with I Know Somebody climbing up, they earned the first with I Love This Life returning the chart at #4 last week.
Charlie Puth ends his 13 consecutive weeks in the top 5 run, tying with the record Justin Timberlake and Justin Bieber previoulsy set.
Another two songs debut on the chart: Kygo's Carry Me(#6, Kygo's first entry on the chart) and The Weeknd's Starboy(#10, The Weeknd's fourth entry on the chart).
With five new songs debut, five songs drop off: Treat You Better(#15), Make Me...(#16), Chainsaw(#22), NO(#23), and One Call Away(#25).
- Treat You Better drops from #15 and becomes the second biggest dropped off song (behind Back To Sleep which dropped from #12).
- One Call Away ends its 50 weeks run on the chart, the fourth most of all and behind Style(72 weeks), Uptown Funk!(55 weeks), and Jealous(53 weeks).

Closer still at #1 with a ton of high debuts including Starboy at #10 and The Greatest at #2! Also, that new Meghan Trainor doesn't sound all that bad like most of her stuff (imo), maybe I'll give it a listen.

The whole new top 5 songs apart from last week!
Starboy rises from #10 to #1, becoming The Weeknd second #1 song. Previously, The Weeknd took number one spot with Can't Feel My Face (5 weeks).
Starboy also becomes The Weeknd's fifth top 5 song, he had three #2 songs: Love Me Harder with Ariana Grande, The Hills and In The Night.
This week marks The Weeknd's sixth weeks at #1 (the fifth most of all) and 26th weeks in top 5 (the fourth most of all).
Ride returns to top 5 and reaches the new peak at #2 (it previously peaked at #3).
Two new songs debut this week: Forever Country(#3) and My Way(#7).
Carry Me climbs one spot to top 5, becoming Kygo first top 5 song.
I Know Somebody from LOCASH dips from #3 to #19, the total 16 positions dropping becoming the fourth biggest positions downward.
Two songs dropped off: Stressed Out(#22) and This Is What You Came For(#25).

Nice debut for My Way Think it's gonna get into the top 5? One of my favorite songs to debut recently. Also, interesting to see Forever Country debut 15 places ahead of the next highest country song. |

24K Magic flies to #2, and becoming Bruno Mars' second top 5 song. Bruno hit the chart when featured in Uptown Funk!(#1 for 2 weeks).
Three songs debut this week:
Don't Wanna Know(#6): it becomes Maroon 5's first charting single since Sugar dropped off.
False Alarm(#7): it becomes The Weeknd's 6th charting single, making The Weeknd the artist with 5th most charting entries of all artists (Meghan Trainor holds the record for 10).
Body Moves(#8): it becomes DNCE 3rd charting single, the other two are Cake By The Ocean(#1 for 1 week) and Toothbrush(#24).

It ties with Can't Stop The Feeling! and Bad Blood for most consecutive weeks at #1 songs.
False Alarm holds at #3. 24K Magic drops to #4. Don't Wanna Know stays at #5.
Three songs re-enter: I Know Somebody(#16), Treat You Better(#17), and This Is What You Came For(#22).
Three songs drop off: Carry Me(#19), That's My Girl(#23), and Me Too(#25).
With Me Too dropping off, this is the first week that no Meghan Trainor's songs on the chart.
Meghan Trainor sets the record for 95 consecutive weeks having song on the chart. Taylor Swift comes in second for 72 weeks.
