She really only debuted 4 songs on the chart? Wow. Her fans really have forsaken her. I'm not too surprised after the Spotify performance. She's the contemporary rap act that has had the most difficulty transitioning to the streaming era. This is partially the long price of her pop-crossovers, though it's not legacy-crippling in itself. |

The moment I saw her nostrils flaring, looking absolutely revved during Shawn Mendes' performance, I knew I had to commit myself to the VMAs. I'm glad I did, too, because she gave her best televised performance tonight and probably the best performance of the night―give or take a certain legend. Nicki may very well go postal come Grammy time but, as of right now, competition is a net positive for her.
