She sold a an album, a tidal subscription and a poster for $5. The desperation. Ariana is doing merch bundles, too. Is she going to pop off on her own sis for peddling snapbacks and album downloads? She needs to dive into her management/label to see if they specified to her fans on how to REDEEM the albums so that they count. Prince was alive when this practice went into play so it isn't really a "new" thing where a flaw could be in the system. This is her first time using such a strategy so they may not have been educated enough and put much thought into it. When you redeem the album is it through Tidal or another independent site like Ticketmaster does? Going through Tidal could've been what hindered it seeing how messy Anti was. |

Did she ever say who the "big-named rapper" who is a secret hater was? I listened for about two hours, but couldn't find that clip.
I understand a lot of her frustrations and she does make some valid points. More or less: I see both sides of the coin here. With that said:
* I don't think she is crazy or having a psychotic breakdown.
* I don't think she actually believes she is as instrumental or as impactful as Tubman or Parks to the world (people need to wise up to what she was truly linking there: being not afraid to stand up to injustice).
* I think her complaints about merch and passes being counted as sales is completely valid (I loathe it too). She needs to hold herself accountable too tho.
* I think her complaints about people criticizing and attempting to silence vocal black women and women in general has a lot of merit too.
* Her humor is so dry I can see how a lot may take it seriously.

It was about to start at the end of Sept if I can recall. No time for rehearsing unless we wanted a garbage tour. |
