Oh god not another Cardi viral moment. Im still recovering from 5 year old Cardi memes all up and down my timeline. Also Atlantic knows how to promote a an artist apparently ! ( I don't like the don't promote others spin if it's true) but like how they keep pushing their artist in this shirty environment for urban acts and label support. Atlantic has been paying off a lot of accounts to not promote Nicki. They’ve even started to work with popular reaction video accounts to not react to Nicki. They’ve had a vendetta against her for years. Generally speaking Atlantic is a trash record label that promotes all these viral “stars” ( bhad bhabie, yodelling boy) while paying their talented black artists dust. Damn, must be nice to have so much money to blow you have the luxury of spending it to negatively impact another artist rather than positively impact one or more of your own. What is the reason for Atlantic's grudge? I've heard this before (this is an issue that pre-dates Cardi being signed, y/y?) but never saw the 'why' behind it and if it really is as simple as 'we're still pressed she didn't sign with us way back in 2007' that is the epitome of bullshit. All these major labels find a way to be trash in some way tbh. Also, the tea about the reaction vid accounts is very interesting - when Bed came out three of the reaction channels I keep up with reacted to it and all of them said something to the effect of, they had stopped trying to react to Nicki's vids for a long while b/c whenever they did the vid would get pulled (one guy even said he got a couple of strikes, and too many strikes gets the channel removed entirely) but they were going to take a chance on Bed since they usually didn't have these issues when it came to Ariana. Now I'm wondering if someone [Atlantic] was pretending to be from Nicki's team to get those reaction vids blocked - it makes sense if Republic or Cash Money found out after Barbie Tings and Chun Li. |
