It's troublesome because of how people like Cardi B are blowing up and could take away from Nicki. In music history, a successful female rapper is hard to come by. And even when we had some, there was almost always only ONE big rapper at a time. So Nicki really needs to get the album out there and it needs to be hot. You are seriously stating that an artist that has been out for 10 years, has an entrenched presence in hip hop, was on several huge hits this year, and could command a sold-out world tour if she announced one at this moment is going to be phased out because of a new chick?

So for these last few days I decided to let some songs from Pinkprint make it into my current playlist
These being:

All things Go
I Lied
Grand Piano
& Get on Your Knees

All 4 are still great, but
Only one of them is still there cause it hasn't burned even a bit

To my surprise, it's All Things Go
I think I love this one cause it's simple in execution, but masterfully executes what it's going for
I'm a sucker for Nicki songs like this
I think All Things Go is my favorite from the record.

I really like The Pinkprint cause it finds a way to balance it's more serious songs with it's funner songs, giving you a perfectly balanced meal of slayage imo

Your publicity stunt comment was irrelevant. She rarely talked about him, especially recently. If they were trying to pull a stunt and make people care, they did a shitty job. I came in here to say one thing, but these last two posts made me giggle. Nicki is sooooo calculated. How do you record a happy birthday shoutout 2 months before the birthday? LOL.



Anyway, her absence from social media right now is the BEST thing she could do. (She probably planned this in like June.) She spent way too much time online last year to the point where she was becoming annoying, and looking desperate for attention. This break she is taking is great. It's smart. It's building anticipation for what she has to come. The net will be shook by her first post in over a month. So she could literally drop a new pic on a Wednesday and the album that Friday, and add another notch under her belt for being the first female rapper to drop a surprise album and hit the top of the charts.
