Nicki definitely needs some type of intervention, because everytime she comes out of seclusion she's a complete mess and in headlines for everything wrong. Her personality has just become so miserable and not compatible with the level of fame she has to deal with.

I do agree with what some above said about this being a teachable moment, or it could have been one. Whomever could have reached out to Nicki to have a discussion and dispel rumors surrounding the virus and vaccine.

I'm a vaccinated Black man who doesn't agree with any of the conspiracy theories or general anti-mask/vaxx rhetoric out there. I also don't agree with Nicki's dumb-ass approach to this situation at all (the testicles could've been left out of it completely because bish whet? I honestly wish her team would lock her out of all social media platforms until the music and doc are ready because she is a MegaTroll and lives for fueling the fire once her outlandish statements blow up (even to her own detriment). And I, personally, don't think she's trying to deflect attention away from her husband considering she continues to constantly talk about and post that man. She clearly don't care what anybody thinks about him nor his crimes.

That said, don't act like this country has done nothing to create an atmosphere of distrust inside the Black community when it comes to the medical/pharmaceutical industries in general. I've heard a dozen or more just as wild "facts" uttered by Black people in my own community and family before Nicki tweeted a thing. BuT wHaT aBoUt aLL oF hEr iNjEcTiOnS? Facts. I, too, would be scared to inject s**t into my body that could have an adverse reaction to the foreign s**t already existing in my body. Now you can say that Nicki's also doing more harm to the Black community by using her platform to express her doubt but look at all of the popular, respected Black celebrities who publicly supported and encouraged vaccination long before she tweeted a word and cross-reference it with recent data (where race is known) that shows Black people still making up only about 10% of the vaccinated population in America. You really think Nicki Minaj is more influential than the Obamas? OK.

When these Black male celebrities say dumb s**t about masks, vaccines and pandemic safety measures in general, it barely registers. But, yes, when a Black woman expresses doubt, especially one with as polarizing of a personality as Nicki, all hell breaks loose. Did she turn into C*ndice Ow*ns overnight and I missed it? Maybe if she just had quietly liked some anti-vaccine posts or followed Tucker on Twitter, she'd be extended more grace. Or, if she was White, she could then just be labeled a "conservative Christian" and we could go on with our lives.

It's funny how I don't see multiple comments about "a woman who lied on a man about shooting her in the foot" or "a woman who paid people to stalk and beat up strippers that her husband was cheating with" or "a woman keeping company with incels in racist chat rooms while continuing to have a career funded by an alleged rapist" in their respective artist threads yet this has been a constant topic of conversation in here. I'm not saying Nicki nor her husband have no blood on their hands nor am I saying you shouldn't believe women and victims of sexual abuse but what I am saying is that this same energy is never kept across the board here. You can cry "stan goggles" all day long but those "#activism" goggles are strapped on just as tight and the fact is that no one is truly that passionate about Nicki Minaj's tweets or her husband's past/present/future; some just want these allegations to be true so it can reinforce their justification for disliking Nicki as an individual (or validate the latest social justice hill they've decided to die on) and that is also what's blinding perception here. 

TL/DR: Nicki should be held accountable for whatever fuckery she is causing to spread but this thread has turned into a "we been knew Nicki is trash" echo chamber partially fueled by people who are not fans of hers to begin with and, if she were a man or a White woman, no one would care nearly as much.
