Artist: Trick Pony Single: "Everybody Wanna Be Us" Album: Pony Up Label: Sony RED Producer: James Stroud
This song is just an iTunes single as of now but I'll gladly ask for the help from a moderator/administrator to move it to the main forum if it goes to radio.
Trick Pony is back after over 10 years since their last album. Their new EP Pony Up will be released on February 26th.
For those unfamiliar with them, they were trio back from the late 90's to mid 2000's with Heidi Newfield, Keith Burns and Ira Dean. They disbanded shortly after Heidi became a solo artist and they reunited in late 2013. In 2014, Ira left the band again. They are now a duo (Heidi and Keith).

According to Heidi and Keith's separate artist Facebook pages, the song is being pushed to stations in the secondary market. I've seen posts that have thanked certain stations for playing the song, and then other posts asking fans to call and request the song.
As for the song, I do like it. It's a bit overproduced in my opinion, and their vocals are drowned out at times, but I do enjoy it. The EP is VERY short. Two different versions of the same song (the latter of the two I like the most), but most of the songs barely escape through to 3 minutes. I would love to hear even more from them. A full length would be nice, but as a comeback for a duo their caliber - an EP will suffice for now. I was kind of hoping for something more along the lines of "Pour Me." Maybe when a full album is out.
