I don't think disliking Charlie Puth is an unpopular opinion... meh, I just feel like a lot of people here seem to like that song

Here's something I hate that everyone likes (though it's not a song): it's threads like these. Nothing personal against crapkuki23 but there's enough hate and negativity in the world so I don't see why it's necessary to add to that by having discussions like these. Just let people listen to and enjoy whatever the fuck they want, and if you don't like something, don't listen to it. Simple as that.

I guess there are 2 different scenarios to this situation. I was going by the fact that I hate hearing it. Not by the fact that I like the song. I should probably delete the comment since this thread is about songs that I "hate".

From the looks of things...7 Years might be close to entering this category. Jar Of Hearts also sucks, in my opinion.I was going to mention this as well. I'll throw in: Sexyback---Justin Timberlake Chandelier---Sia Countdown---Beyonce Lay Me Down---Sam Smith Same Love---Macklemore & Ryan Lewis Work from Home---Fifth Harmony Hideaway---Daya Anything by Rae Sremmurd (maybe a poor fit for this category, but I get a Bobby Brady Time to Change vibe from them) Good for You---Selena Gomez Anaconda---Nicki Minaj

7 Years - Lukas Graham
Not really hate, just don't like, it isn't appealing to me at all so far and I gave it a try even before it got popular since it made Spotify Viral 50's top once.
Youth - Troye Sivan
Never liked it, just got progressively annoying, I did like WILD though, but I'm not interested in checking out his album and only listened to some snippets.

Also it's weird that so many people are saying 7 Years although not too many people like it. Outside of Pulse, I don't see too many people that like it at all(I'm sure I said this before, but I forgot where)

Nothing personal against crapkuki23 but there's enough hate and negativity in the world so I don't see why it's necessary to add to that by having discussions like these. Just let people listen to and enjoy whatever the f**k they want, and if you don't like something, don't listen to it. Simple as that. Dude, you need to chill. Making threads like these is fun. You made a comment like this on a video review I did (I'm 90sandearly00srule1, btw), and I did not take kindly to that, making false assumptions that I hated today's music simply because I didn't like certain songs on the review. If I bash songs you like, that's my opinion (which I have the right to express about them) and you need to respect that, even if the reviews are mostly negative. Yes, people should listen to what they want even if we don't agree with it, but at the same time, these threads are a good way to let us express ourselves any way we want, even popular songs we don't like, so calm down.

I'm not saying you don't have the right, everybody has the right to negativity because of free speech. As such, hindering to what you just said, I also have the right to say my opinion on this negativity :) it's exactly the reason why I stopped watching your review videos. Too much negativity and intolerance of people who like songs/artists you dislike.

Well, to be honest, I do enjoy any thread about good music, but I only started this thread, because well, you can't always be praising music. There at least needs to be some threads where people can address their hate for things.

True there can be meaningful lyrics or empty lyrics, but when it comes down to it, people enjoy what they enjoy because they can, and 90sandearly00srule/billboardfan1 doesn't seem to be very tolerant or accepting of that...I don't like calling people out like that, but it's just really annoying to me. I just don't get the need for negativity because, like I said, music is purely subjective.

In regular rotation it was like listening to a political screed over and over) "Lay Me Down" (I get it, Sam, you've got a powerful, emotional voice, but this was just too overwrought) "Anaconda" (It was better in the 1990s when it was called "Baby Got Back") OTOH, I really like "Chandelier" and "Hideaway".

I just don't get the need for negativity because, like I said, music is purely subjective. It doesn't matter if music is subjective, people have a right to dislike music and call artists out and think what they want about certain songs. Music is not devoid of criticism and should not be. Sure, maybe I go over the top sometimes, but you're not any better by saying that I shouldn't have an opinion or that I'm not accepting or tolerant of music being a subjective thing. If I want to say an artist sucks or this song isn't of quality, I am every bit entitled to that. And by the way, I have come to accept that music is subjective. If anyone has to be tolerant is you, telling me to stop being negative about certain music isn't going to change anything, if I want to have a negative opinion on a song or artist that is my business and you have to be tolerant and accepting of that. And I am not going to stop making music reviews because you tell me to, I like getting my views and opinions of music out there, it's always fun to see some feedback and maybe make friends and subscribers in the process. For the record, I like a lot of today's music including popular songs, I just don't always agree with everything that gets popular, plus I listen to a whole lot of music outside the radio and top 40, so it seems to me that anytime you call me out because you think I hate music today makes me think that you're a very close minded person that only listens top top 40 music and bases something on that alone, that's almost like being a music purist. My days on hating modern music are long over but I can still bash on certain songs and music artists and you have learn to respect my views and opinions and understand where I'm coming from. Even if you don't believe in the concept of good and bad music, you still have to be accepting of someone's views. And sometimes there needs to be some negativity in life just to let it all out, welcome to the real world. You're being overly sensitive. The point is, people are entitled to think whatever they want, regardless of whether you agree with it or not, and you have to learn to just deal with it. And again, these types of forums are fun.

"Me, Myself & I." I can't believe it's #1 at CHR. It's miserable-sounding, G-Eazy has nothing interesting to say and Bebe sounds like a parrot.
