Emily Ann Roberts from The Voice sounds like Kacey Musgraves to me. I was watching Trixie Mattel do a lip sync to her cover of 9 to 5 and could not find a cover by Kacey Musgraves. It really threw me off.

I got excited awhile back when I heard a new Travis Tritt song on the radio. It was actually Chris Stapleton.

That just reminded me, the first time I heard "Love Don't Live Here" by Lady Antebellum, I thought it was Travis Tritt. Of course I can tell Charles and Travis apart now, but when that song came out Travis was the closest comparison I knew, so my mind automatically jumped to him.

I had a similar reaction the first time I heard "Baby Girl" by Sugarland. I was like "Wow, I love this new Sara Evans song". Now, they sound nothing alike to me. lol

I don't hear it, but my mom thinks Sara Evans and Terri Clark sound similar.

I don't hear it, but my mom thinks Sara Evans and Terri Clark sound similar. Oh my goodness, my sister literally cannot tell Sara Evans and Terri Clark apart! It drives me bonkers!!! The two could not possibly be any more different, in my opinion. I mean, if you completely ignore the fact that Sara's fast vibrato is a dead giveaway, Sara also naturally has a much sweeter timbre with a much more polished-sounding voice. And then we get to the fact that Sara's range tops out like an entire 5th higher than Terri's... They can both hit pretty much the same low notes, but Terri is definitely more comfortable down there. She is an alto through and through, while I would describe Sara as a mezzo with a strong low range. Haha but then again, I am a superfan of both, so I definitely hear and compare their voices significantly more than the average country music listener!

It took a year of hearing it on Spotify to look and see that Rodney Atkins' "Take a Back Road" was, in fact, not a Tim McGraw song.
And now that I look at his wikipedia, I've now learned that Atkins' "If You're Going Through Hell" is also NOT a Tim McGraw song. Haha

I heard a version of "Frosty the Snowman" the other day. I thought it was Roger Miller singing, but midway through, I realized it was a little too recent sounding to be Roger, and was actually Tracy Lawrence.

Listening to RaeLynn's new album, I've begun noticing that at times I think her voice and phrasing sound similar to Elle King. I could totally imagine RaeLynn doing Elle's part of "Different for Girls" and the end product sounding fairly similar, i.e.
