Amazing album. I never thought I’d stan him so hard. It’s so nice seeing a popstar actually enjoying it and not being a miserable ungrateful lil shit.
I feel like he’s in the rare happy medium of making pop music that’s super catchy but at the same time he’s not aiming for #1 singles so There’s more freedom and creativity in all the little flourishes.
Give him all the Grammys next year.

This is a great piece of work!!!! Watermelon Sugar and Adore You are my faves, as expected, but all tracks are 7/10 at least.

Harry Styles debuted at #1 with 230k SPS (193k sales).

The increase in streams compared to his debut is impressive!

Talent is winning! This album deserves all the accolades and sales. He really knows how to hone in on his strengths.

Tracks 1-8 are some of the best songs of the year and there is no question in my mind now that Harry is the best member of the group. I'll be damned. He is a lot more focused than Zayn, even if I prefer the latter's voice. Love Niall's music, but Harry has proven time and time again that he is far more interesting. Liam made some bops (I still need to listen to his flop album), but he is weak, outside of his body. Then, there is Louis. Never heard a song of his, but I still shudder thinking of his vocals on 1D songs. Maybe one day, I will hear his stuff by accident. Anyway, this whole damn album is probably in the top 5 of albums released this year, honestly, quality wise.
After playing the whole albums several times:
1. Falling 2. Watermelon Sugar 3. Lights Up 4. Adore You 5. Cherry 6. She 7. Canyon Moon 8. Fine Line 9. Golden 10. To Be So Lonely 11. Treat People With Kindness 12. Sunflower, Vol.6

Such a fantastic album and deserves that massive first week debut! Hope he reaches it. Easily one of the best members of the group as previously stated. Him and Niall for sure, though Harry has GOT to get rid of that wired mic... that could cause some problems later on.
Anyway, my personal ranking:
1. Golden 2. Adore You 3. Watermelon Sugar 4. Sunflower, Vol. 6 5. To Be So Lonely 6. Cherry 7. Falling 8. Fine Line 9. Lights Up 10. She 11. Canyon Moon 12. Treat People With Kindness

I enjoy this much more than his debut. He definitely has the SOUND down. Nice vibes, excellent production, so many instrumental touches that really shine. Vocally, he's perfectly serviceable. None of the 1D boys impress me on that front, but he works with what he has. My only issue is he's not quite there as a songwriter yet, I find myself unmoved by almost everything on here lyrically. But that may take some time. Either way, this album sounds so fantastic it doesn't bother me too much, but it'll probably mean a short shelf-life in my music rotation.

Hmmm...I think Zayn can be a magical vocalist, especially when he goes into his falsetto. His vocals on It's You, Drunk, and Pillowtalk were pretty flawless. Harry used to strain a lot more during his days with 1D and he seems to have learned how to grow into his voice and relax, which has served him well. Agree about the songwriting though. Some of it is stupid (i.e. Watermelon Sugar and Lights Up) and he falls back on repetition when he runs out of words. That said, it could be worse. It could be whoever is writing for poor Liam.

Zayn is definitely my favorite singer from the group (his debut showed so much promise, he really could have been a contender). His drunk toddler enunciation drives me up the damn wall though.

Yep.. I agree with these last few post it can't be denied Zayn was the best singer out of 1D but Zayn wise I feel like he hasn't found it yet imho. Now on to Harry I think he found it and I'm personally more drawn to Harry's Music but yes lyric wise it leaves a lot to be desired it's not a bad thing per say I'm still enjoying the songs on the album none the less.

Amazing album. He managed to dodge the sophomore slump and make a better album than his debut. It's also wild that this album will perform much better commercially than his debut.

Lights Out is perfection. It reminds me so much of my early days/nights clubbing as a gay man.
Adore You is straight fire. He’s definitely a fucking star. Can’t wait for the tour.

Generally he is still to show real talent, vocally he is good, some songs shine, but can´t say this is a great album.

So with album stats like that, I think we can probably rule out a 1D reunion in 2020.

Scores the largest sales week for an album by a solo U.K. male artist since Nielsen began tracking in 1991. Damn.

I'm in love with "Lights Up," "Falling," and "Adore You." "Sign of the Times" was the only thing I bought from his first album. He sounds a bit similar to Nick Jonas at moments throughout AY, but it's the only one where he does.
