Harry won his second aria tonight. Best international artist (fine line). Congrats again, to Harry!

Congratulations to Harry. He hasn’t acknowledged his Grammy nominations himself or even via HSHQ, though. I wonder why? A part of me is inclined to believe he will not be participating in the event. Given the way I feel about the show right now, it’s kind of satisfying that he’s ignoring it. But we’ll see. A “Golden” performance could push the song to new heights.

Did he acknowledge his noms on his socials for the AMA's, the ARIA's, the Brit's? I saw he submitted a thank you video for the ARIA win, but other than that I don't see much acknowledgement from him personally (not surprising).

I thought it might be different this time since getting your very first Grammy nominations used to be a big deal. And I remember how disappointed a lot of background figures were when Harry didn’t get any a few years back. I think it will be telling if he performs or not, though. He should be finished filming DWD by that point, so I don’t see “scheduling conflicts” arising.

He's friends with the Executive Producer so maybe he doesn't want to acknowledge the noms for various reasons other than just apathy lol. ETA: I was genuinely asking if he acknowledged those other shows, I don't follow celebrities on social media so I legit do not know.

It was a curious case and now it’s closed after being reminded that he does not typically acknowledge nominations.

What is your source stating that it hasn’t? HDD obviously isn’t the be all, but they posted this today: m.hitsdailydouble.com/news&id=324278&title=GRAMMY-NOMS-BY-THE-NUMBERS%3A-AOTYThe album is #4 on the Billboard 200 year-end chart. Judging the numbers above and beneath it, it’s safe to say we’re there.

Night SensesUkmix (forum) - the user who posts the sales seems to be the most accurate that I have found, including HDD. 1.966 is what FL was estimated to be at as of the charts published Dec 5. So either way, it’ll cross 2M this upcoming chart or the following one.

Any idea on the pure sales of the album? Surely north of 700k at this point?

His debut is estimated to be at 491K in pure sales (same updated week as FL, so it is likely accurate), just a friendly fyi.

I recently mourned the fact that I would’ve seen him in concert twice this year. I snagged tickets to the LA show (terrible seats but I was still hyped) and the first Harryween at MSG. I still have hope for the rescheduled dates, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s still too soon, even with the vaccine. I could see him releasing another album around this time next year and touring for both that and FL in 2022.
Anyone else here have tickets to the tour?

I had a few tickets for this year and it made me sad as each day passed where I should have been at one of his shows. I am holding out hope for next year, especially since all of mine got rescheduled to October, but wouldn't surprise me if it just got canceled. Maybe he'll try since they already put all that money into the set and everything? Guess we'll see. Darn covid. Also - big kudos to him for paying his crew this year despite not touring. That's a class act.

That’s awesome and such a Harry thing for him to do, so I don’t know why I’m even surprised. Fingers crossed that everything will work out next year, but thinking realistically, we’re in for a long road to recovery. I’d be happy to get new music if that comes first.

If/when he performs at the Grammys, which song(s) are y’all rooting for him to do? I would actually love to hear the title track live, even though it wouldn’t be the crowd pleaser that the singles are. There are politics behind what an artist can perform, though. I believe Ariana Grande once had a dispute with the Grammys over song choices a few years back.
A medley of the singles would be nice, too, but “Lights Up” would need to be included because I don’t think it has ever gotten the massive stage performance it deserves.

Lol In reality, they'll probably have him perform "Watermelon Sugar" since that song specifically is nominated. Related - the scene I've seen requested all over Twitter of them playing the trumpets part of "Fine Line" when he goes up on stage to accept an award would sound great, but I just don't see it happening. It'll either be the song (or video song) that won or "Watermelon Sugar" for the album. They are setting themselves/their expectations up for disappointment.

I really hope that song can survive the post-Xmas freeze, but it’s no big loss considering the album is still outperforming new releases one year later. The trumpets and drums at the end of “Fine Line” are my favorite part of the song. There’s such a euphoric feeling I get from the last 30-40 seconds that I can’t explain. As for him winning a Grammy, we ought to hope for the best but expect the worst. I don’t see it, given his competition, but I’d love to be wrong.
