I've listened to segments of songs so far and it hasn't fully captured me yet. In the next minutes I will now put the full album to listen well. I find it different to Fine Line which is an album I loved. I feel Fine Line more inspired by classic rock. This new one per what I've heard so far it seems very inspired by soul from the 70s. My opinion my change once I listen to the whole thing. One of the songs sounded very Prince to me. It was fun.

It took a bit to adjust to the new sound on first listen but I still liked it.
Subsequent listens? Love it even more. Lots of funky bass, production, etc. Some good movement and sounds in the headphones. It just gets you moving.
I'm looking forward to seeing how he transforms these for concert. I can just picture how some of these especially will just absolutely come ALIVE when he performs them live and with the audience singing along, too.
I love how he just makes what he wants to make. Congrats Harry!

This album is halfway there, very similar to Fine Line IMO. So many of the songs have potential, but fail either in terms of production, vocals or lyrics. Highlights: As It Was Daylight Cinema Daydreaming Keep Driving Satellite It's funny someone mentioned Timberlake, because there is some straight up Man Of The Woods nonsense on here and that's the first thing that came to mind. I really like Harry, when he gets it right, he nails it. I also adore his voice when he uses it correctly (which is not the case on a lot of these songs unfortunately). The hyperbole surrounding him and his musical output is frustrating though, because he hasn't even come close to nailing an album yet. The JT/Man of the Woods moment for me is in the first song about sushi. It’s the spoken bit before the chorus and the faux funk. Just doesn’t work for me.

"Little Freak" is underrated on Pulse, I see. I love Little Freak!

Popping into Harry’s thread for the first time ever to say that I believe Harry’s House is a stellar album imo, from beginning to end. There are a couple of songs where the lyrics just don’t make sense, but vocally it’s all superb and I absolutely love the overall sound of this record. I don’t see how it won’t be getting love from the Recording Academy in 2023.
Bonus points to “Boyfriends” for being able to pass as a country song 😉 and to horny jail with this man because “Cinema” is just something else.

His voice is somehow different this time around, some songs are unrecogizable.

Eh, I don't know about this one. Caveat: I listened to this at the end of the night, but it was just...there, overall. For the most part, the ballads are the strongest songs, but As It Was as the first single was absolutely the best choice. The album will probably grow on me, but for now:
Fine Line Harry Styles Harry's House
It really wouldn't surprise me if I appreciate it more over time or with headphones, but this is my first take regarding song ranking:
As It Was (in serious contention for Harry's best song) Keep Driving Little Freak (giving me Jack Antonoff. I could also hear Taylor doing this. Either way, it's a masterpiece.) Satellite Love Of My Life Matilda Boyfriends Cinema Daylight Late Night Talking (despite being low in the ranking, I do appreciate this one, but the ones above it are just better. This would make a strong single, though.) Grapejuice Daydreaming (reminds me of TPWK) Music For A Sushi Restaurant (what in the cocaine idea hell??)

The video was taken down.
I just did a 30 minute Peloton ride set to Harry's House. Definitely made me appreciate the album more. Looking forward to hearing it in headphones.

Harry had passed Dua Lipa to move into 4th position on Spotify. Bit to go yet for 3rd but will be fun to see how it goes!

A daytime headphones album. MUCH better. Daydreaming, in particular, benefits from this.
Also...Satellite for single.

Imagine if Mariah said something like this about Ariana or Britney said about Cringetina or Beyonce on Rihanna the venom these women would receive but he is a male legend so anything he says is fine! Or not that serious.

The album is decent, probably needs a couple more listens but Fine Line will remain as his only classic for now.

The album is solid and cohesive. I was a little taken aback on my first listen cause this is not what I was expecting at all. I expected (or wanted) something similar to As It Was all the way through, more uptempo and synth-pop-ish. But once that expectation was thrown out the window, I appreciate what he did here. This is a good late night summer album. Fine Line had more highs than Harry's House, but I feel this one works better as an album even if it's not as exciting.
Highlights for me:
Late Night Talking As It Was Little Freak Mathilda Cinema Daydreaming

Very average album of 90ies MOR American rockpop with a bit touch of 80ies. He is vocally very good, as a writer barely there, simple and careless pop music he creates keeps him in the charts though, that is what people belong to in these challenging times...

On first listen I was taken aback as well because I was expecting a combination of the Fine Line sound and the new sound of As It Was and the album went into so many new directions.
After listening to it for 2 days, I’ve fallen completely in love with it. The album tells a story of loneliness, regret, acceptance and finally, happiness and finding your “home”. Harry is getting better and better as a songwriter and storyteller and I love the new vocal styles he’s experimenting with on a lot of the songs.
“Matilda”, “Cinema”, “Little Freak”, and “Daydreaming” are the standouts for me.
I’m glad he didn’t give us Fine Line 2.0 and I’m glad he created an album that is deeper than just trying to give us a bunch of radio-friendly singles. I can see this album being remembered and revered 20 years from now, while the output of his contemporaries will be long forgotten.

Harry occupies the entire top 10 on the US Spotify chart with songs from Harry's House for a third day in a row. He also holds spots 11, 12, and 14.
Globally all songs are in the top 22 with 11 of the 13 being in the top 16.
Harry's House could make Harry Styles the third artist in history to take over the UK top 3 🤯

'Harry’s House' by Harry Styles — Spotify (05/22/2022):
• 'Harry’s House' has reached 700 million streams; • 'Late Night Talking' has now surpassed 20 million streams; • All tracks now have over 10 million streams each.

I actually loved this from first listen, and it only gets better on repeated listens. Fine Line I always loved the first half and hated the second. This one is a lot more consistent throughout and there's nothing here I outright hate (except maybe Boyfriends), but the high points of Fine Line are probably higher than the peaks here. The tracks I keep coming back to are the up and mid-tempos, led by "Daylight," "Satellite" and "Cinema". Love "Music For a Sushi Restaurant" and "Late Night Talking" as well but I can already sense that those are going to start wearing thin the more I hear them. I actually get Yacht Rock vibes from some of this and I ain't mad.

I’m enjoying very much the full album, no skips. Having said that, it all sounds very familiar. Nothing revolutionary. Perhaps for kids who haven’t really gone back in time in music, they may find it sometimes unique if compared to today’s pop music. I think Harry is doing a great job studying the great ones of pop and rock and more. I can say that about this album and the previous one. In a song for example I can see touches Prince, in another one Stevie Wonder. For me at 50 and with decent knowledge of music from the 60s to 80s I can see often the inspiration for these songs. I think Harry will continue growing and giving us more unique stuff. Meanwhile, I am LOVING the album. He’s really good.

Vinyl sales record:
After only three days on sale, Harry Styles' 'Harry's House' has broken the modern-era record for the largest sales week for a vinyl album in the U.S.
The vinyl edition of the album sold over 146,000 copies in the U.S. through May 22, according to initial reports from Luminate.
The previous single-week vinyl sales record was the opening week of 'Red (Taylor's Version), last year when it sold 114,000 vinyl copies.

This album is kinda IT. He booked the Pop gerls with this faux-Indie/70s retro sound.

Harry occupies the entire top 13 on the US Spotify chart with every song from Harry's House for a third day. Fourth day with the entire top 10.
In addition to breaking vinyl sales records, 'Harry's House' is now the #1 best selling album in US pure sales in 2022, with less than one week of availability.
Speaking of vinyl, he has now officially sold over 1 million total vinyl albums in the US across his solo discography.
As It Was remains at #1 on the global Spotify chart with 10.179 million streams. It has now spent 50 days at #1.

What was the last album to have pure sales this high? I think Taylor Swift's rerecording of "Red". 325k pure.
