Ravi , do you think there's any chance that WFH falls below ITAPII this week and the latter returns to the top ten? I'd be ecstatic if it got one more week in the top ten (plus it's rare to see songs fall out of the top ten, after being in it longer than a week or two, and then returning to the top ten afterwards; other than Love Yourself I don't recall any song doing that recently) Shake It Off if you consider that recent eh, true but that was more than a year ago lol. I'm still upset it fell to #11 that week or else it would've held that record to this day :(

^ Sorry to nitpick with more questions about this chart, but is it only for views of the official video, or does it combine all video and audio versions of the song on YouTube that are eligible to count for the Hot 100?

I'm pretty sure it's only the official videos. Keeping track of every single user-generated stream would be an absolute nightmare to script, unless he's getting the data from Soundscan itself. Then again, Panda has an absurd amount of its official youtube streams counting for the US chart, so maybe it does count user-generated ones. I don't know how much effort Kworb put into getting this data, or if the youtube insights counts everything.

So the streaming gap to neutralize that would be 1.8M. Last week WFH was 3.5M ahead in airplay and this week also it should stay around ~3M ahead. But there is a chance Pink re-enters Top-10 or Adele may make a surprise entry in Top-10. Rough estimates as of now.... may not be able to post detailed predictions as I am very busy this week. 1. One Dance - 39.5k 2. CSTF - 37k 3. DLMD - 31.5k 4. TIWYCF - 31k 5. Cheap Thrills - 30.5k 6. Panda - 30k 7. Ride - 24k 8/9 Needed Me - 23.5k 8/9 Don't Mind - 23.5k 10. WFH - 20k 11/12 JLF - 19.5k 11/12 SML-19.5k 13. ITAPII - 19k As you can see #3-6 are very close and any two consecutive songs may exchange their ranks.

I've got data for every day since last Friday. Edit: Never mind. Kworb's just a day later than I thought. Guess I have to delete the first day. Okay, fixed.

I think the One Dance video is gonna come soon. So, after this I'd imagine 11 or 12 weeks at #1 for One Dance. 7/23 will be its 9th week.

this may be the last week of CSTF being sales #1 before Sia takes over. I wonder whether she'll take over atop the Hot 100 or Drake will stay there for who knows how long...

I really think the One Dance video might not extend Drake's run that much. It really is too late, and many people probably won't be excited about it. Has there been official confirmation that it has even been filmed?

Has there been official confirmation that it has even been filmed? Well, right now, you can't really find "One Dance" on YouTube, which is where a lot of people primarily listen to music. A video would probably do really well for it, since YouTube is the only thing "One Dance" is missing. It is still #1 on the charts, so it still does have attention, to say the least. Because of this, a video probably would keep it up at least a little. I do imagine you're right about it not spending THAT much longer at #1, especially with competition starting to come up. Should be enough to block CSTF from re-taking the top, at least, since it's getting closer.

At this point what would get Calvin/Rihanna to #1 over Sia? Streaming. Calvin/Rihanna might be lagging behind on sales and airplay, but with the video having come out recently, it made a huge surge to the top 3 of the streaming chart. I'm pretty sure "This Is What You Came For" was behind "Cheap Thrills" in streaming before the video came out, so I have a feeling maybe the Calvin song will stabilize after a while and fall back below Sia on streaming, but if not, then Harris and Rihanna have a chance because of how much streaming is weighed on the charts nowadays.

Yes, Drake confirmed about a week and a half ago that he was in the middle of filming, so I guess they're trying to edit as fast as possible.

It fell 3-4 in streaming last chart week and "Cheap Thrills" rose 11-9. That combined with "CT" passing "TIWYCF" in both sales and airplay shows it is the hotter song at the moment. Unless something comes along to cause some big rise in interest for "TIWYCF," I don't see where it's going to be a threat for #1.

For the last 24 hours, only Cheap thrills (combined), Treat You Better and Ride that keep the momentum (no fall) on sales. 🙌 I hope there is alternative MV for Ride tho.

On the subject of Cheap Thrills, good for her for having a top 10 for an artist in their 40s! That almost never happens nowadays.

Also, "One Dance" is likely very large on Spotify for the fact that it's not on YouTube. What would likely happen is a small increase from YouTube users that do not use Spotify, but mostly it would be a lot of people who are listening to it on Spotify switching to YouTube, so not much of a change. I don't see the video extending the chart run very much if at all unless the video is really, really good and has the re-watch factor for the video itself rather than the song.

If people are mostly just listening on YouTube, then why do official videos even matter? As in, why don't most lyric videos or just the "audio" videos have huge streams?

If people are mostly just listening on YouTube, then why do official videos even matter? As in, why don't most lyric videos or just the "audio" videos have huge streams? Usually, the music video is released early in the song's run when most people don't even know the song exists and it acts as a strong promotional tool to get people to both watch the video and hear the song for the first time. From there on out, the video is then the first thing that pops up when it is searched for on YouTube.
