Interesting to see DNA. still in the top 10 in the US. Hip-hop does much better in the US than worldwide I think they just meant it was interesting seeing it in the top 10 in general. "The US" is just to specify the country so people knew which one they were talking about. They don't mean "why is it top 10 in the US and not anywhere else".

^They announced their album earlier than Khaled did so Khaled's just screwing with them? I'v always wondered if artists even care about H200 charts. They seem very random and not nearly as consistent was the weekly h100. Many, many (unsuccessful) albums go number one on the album chart but the weekly single chart is often cited as the main metric for a song's success, other than sales.

Artists care more for the BB200 than the H100, I suppose. Why are they putting singles out? To promote either themselves or an album! An album makes them money than singles ever could I always see singles as a nice bonus

Imagine Dragons actually keep rising:
Global: #7 Thunder #16 Believer #46 Whatever It Takes (7 other songs in the Top 200)
US: #9 Believer #16 Thunder #42 Whatever It Takes (7 other songs in the Top 200)
'Signs' debuts at #8 in the US and at #35 globally

I like how Thunder is bigger globally but in US it's chart run is pretty miserable compared to Believer. It's because Believer is the current single in the US. It's still #2 on alternative radio and seeing large increases on pop. For two reasons. Alternative is kind of slow, so Believer is just now ending its run there. Also, Believer took months to take off on pop. This makes a lot of sense that the track would just now be becoming a hit stateside. Their previous album really hurt their momentum. It wasn't even close to a success on pop, and only did okay in the rock circuits, so it took a while for them to get back on the radar here. Thunder was simply a promotional single here up until very recently. It is starting to take off on alternative slowly, but surely, but it will be a while before it starts its run in the mainstream pop world. That is, if they don't decide to just completely skip over it and make the third single the second pop single. Contrary to what someone else may think, it's something way more complex and way less ridiculous than "everyone else in the world has terrible taste and the US is great." :)

Oh, don't worry, I wasn't referring to your post. look dude all u have to do is look at global charts to see that it's dominated by senseless pop. there's no diversity of genre (except maybe edm pop,) and there is no hip-hop.

In about half an hour (every Tuesday) do you guys want me to update you?

"Lean On" has become the fourth song to cross 1 billion streams on Spotify!
Next to do so? "Despacito" or "Sorry," most likely.*
* Combined, "Despacito" has already crossed 1 billion, but both versions chart separately. The original has 512 million and the remix has 490 million.
