The official Billions Club playlist currently contains 240 tracks, and I think that table with the release years adds up to 251. Do you know which songs make up the difference, or have the complete list that your tally is based on? And the Billions Club has at least one track it probably should not have, Tove Lo's "Habits (Stay High)", because both the original and the big remix have just over half a billion streams. And if it is on the list because the combined the play counts make a billion, then "Say So" should be on the list too, and "Save Your Tears" should have been added to the list much earlier than just a few days ago. So were the play counts for the "Habits" versions erroneously combined sometime in the past? Yes, the 2 versions of Habits were combined it is even in the official playlist by Spotify. Never noticed they were separated so it should be 250 songs, since it shouldn't count. As for which songs are missing in the official playlist i can't tell (have to go manually for each song): i know "everybody dies in their nightmares", "No Role Modelz" & "Sweet Child O'Mine" are missing. {Spoiler}{Spoiler} # | Title | Artist | Year | 1 | Save Your Tears | The Weeknd | 2020 | 2 | All The Stars | Kendrick Lamar;SZA | 2018 | 3 | The Less I Know The Better | Tame Impala | 2015 | 4 | Dancing With A Stranger | Sam Smith;Normani | 2019 | 5 | Let Me Down Slowly | Alec Benjamin | 2018 | 6 | Lemonade | Internet Money;Gunna;Don Toliver;Nav | 2020 | 7 | Nice For What | Drake | 2018 | 8 | Sign of the Times | Harry Styles | 2014 | 9 | Rather Be | Clean Bandit;Jess Glynne | 2017 | 10 | Rude | MAGIC! | 2013 | 11 | Hey, Soul Sister | Train | 2009 | 12 | Bad Habits | Ed Sheeran | 2021 | 13 | Payphone | Maroon 5;Wiz Khalifa | 2012 | 14 | All Girls Are The Same | Juice WRLD | 2018 | 15 | Summer | Calvin Harris | 2014 | 16 | Locked Out Of Haven | Bruno Mars | 2012 | 17 | Numb | Linkin Park | 2003 | 18 | WAP | Cardi B;Megan Thee Stallion | 2020 | 19 | September | Earth, Wind, and Fire | 1978 | 20 | Ride It | Regard | 2019 | 21 | Better | Khalid | 2018 | 22 | More Than You Know | Axwell /\ Ingrosso | 2017 | 23 | The Nights | Avicii | 2014 | 24 | Shut Up And Dance | WALK THE MOON | 2014 | 25 | Hotel California | Eagles | 1976 | 26 | No Role Modelz | J. New peak on its second day. It's a nice song but I never thought I'd see Joji charting this well

(A hyperlink to this application was previously provided on kworb.net.) Spotify Charts, a subsidiary to the application provides numerous resources on current chart happenings (for instance, the Top 200 rather than the Global Top 50.) It also provides the Top 200 for individual countries as well. It gives much more sophisticated information than the Top 50 on Spotify, and I would consider it fit for even a music analyst. The application requires users to have a Spotify account, preferably premium. The site also asks you various questions (simply how you will use the software). I think it is incredible, and a nice edition to your chart catalog. I invite you to reply and tell me your opinion! (A link to the application is provided here.)

Albums on Spotify ranked by plays on least-played song
I've been tracking and sharing this for a little while now, but since I finally started putting it in a spreadsheet and automating it, seems like as good a time as any to post it here. For this list, I excluded any deluxe tracks, any skits, interludes, instrumentals, intros, outros, anything except what you can indisputably call "a song on the album". I think it's a pretty good measure of an album or artist's Spotify strength, although you will notice a bias towards EPs and shorter albums for what should be obvious reasons. Data sourced via Chartmasters and way too much manual data entry.
By my count, 33 albums to date have at least 100 million streams on every song, and 124 have every song at 50 million or more (I try to track everything above 40 million). There is a three-way tie for the artist with the most projects above 100 million: Post Malone, the Weeknd, and Juice WRLD all have three. Drake has the most projects above 50 million, with 6. BTS, Taylor Swift, and Bad Bunny each have 5 above 50 million.
Here is the top 50. Numbers as of September 15th.

Why am I just now noticing "Blinding Lights" surpassed "Shape of You"? Why was that not a bigger deal than it was? We have a new all-time #1.

It was talked about on the weekly hot 100 threads when it happened. It should’ve been on here but this thread is pretty much dead at this point.

It looks like Spotify made a change to the algorithm that determines what's listed as 'Popular' under an artist's page. It seems to favor streams more instead of playlisting or whatever it was previously. My guess it's it streams over the course of a month or so since several Christmas songs are still listed high for some artists.
I like this a lot more personally.

It was total streams the past 30 days. Now it may be total streams the past 40 or 50 days now, seeing as it’s been over a month since Christmas and some songs are still high on artist pages.

No. It hasn't been based on total streams the last 30 days for as long as I've been paying attention. Spotify's website says it's based on the number of all-time and recent streams but I don't think that's entirely true... or at least it hasn't been until (maybe) now. For example, "Die For You" by The Weeknd has been outstreaming most of his entire catalogue for months now and it just recently (last two weeks or so) entered the Top 5 on his 'Popular' section. It was stuck at #6-7 while "I Was Never There" and "Call Out My Name" sat in his Top 5 despite pulling fewer daily streams. "Die For You" is now #2 after the recent update... which makes sense if it's now being based on an average of the last 40 or however many days. The new algorithm knocked three of Katy Perry's Top 5 songs out of her Top 10 entirely... so whatever was keeping those songs in her Top 5 has obviously been removed from the algorithm. Clearly it wasn't streams that was keeping them there.

I have no clue what the change was, but Christmas songs stuck around forever before the update change, like I remember Christmas songs being in some artists top 10 until March.

Clearly it wasn't streams that was keeping them there. It’s always been based on a total stream count in a certain amount of past days. This is why when new album bombs appear they were/are ALWAYS in order of most to least streams. All the most streamed 30 tracks in order of total streams All the most streamed Red TV tracks in order of total streams All the most streamed Midnights tracks in order of total streams If you look, Anti-Hero was already her #1 most popular track with only 41 million streams total. So ofcourse it’s not based on: - total streams to date - total streams the past year - total streams the past 6 months As she has plenty of songs that would’ve done over 41 million streams in those frames. So I assumed it was based on around 30 days, I remember years back (2020? Maybe) when the Xmas songs collapsed on artists pages by the end of January which made me think that. I believe they have since adjusted the time frame multiple times, but it’s always been based on total streams since ____ or else new album tracks wouldn’t nearly ALWAYS be in order of most total streams when they appear.

Nope, it was partially streams but also other things, I think playlists and amount of likes it was getting. Also, the change being from 50-day streams to 30-day streams would not explain the changes in ranking lol

Also, the change being from 50-day streams to 30-day streams would not explain the changes in ranking lol If it was based on playlists, then occurrences like the 8th most streamed album tracks from Midnights & 30 wouldn’t ever be above songs like “Hello” and “Shake It Off” which remain playlist staples on huge throwback playlists. Literally any time a huge artist released a new album, it was always in order of most streams that would appear. However also I think it’s possible perhaps they separated all different versions of songs (Clean, Explicit, Deluxe, Compilation) on the Popular ranking specifically which would also explain The Weeknd’s situation. Many songs appear on The Highlights compilation and on a studio album, if those streams were split separately then the rankings would then not necessarily reflect which songs are actually drawing more streams. For example, “I Was Never There” could’ve got 20 million streams but is only on one project. “Die For You” could’ve got 35 million streams, with 18 million on The Highlights, and 17 million on Starboy, however they only counted the 18 million from The Highlights so it technically ranked below. This would also explain why “When I’m Gone” was #3 on Katy’s page prior, and is now out the top 10. All the Teenage Dream singles have 2 different versions technically speaking. They are on Teenage Dream & Teenage Dream: Complete Confection. So theoretically, all of them are being split in listens between those 2. This also applies with PRISM singles since PRISM & PRISM (Deluxe) are on Spotify. “When I’m Gone” is a standalone single, so it only had 1 version. Therefore I think despite getting less streams for a very long period it was still ranked high, because technically speaking, it was ahead when only counting 1 version.

I've always been under the impression it's an algorithm that accounts for recent stream counts, recent playlist adds and recent saves over a rolling period.
That would also explain why album tracks would take over past hits as fans would be adding them to their liked songs and playlists in droves upon release.
