Basically a thread to express emotions, whatever they may be, over your fave paying certain songs dust by not playing them live.
Sara Evans played "Cheatin'" the first time I saw her back in 2008, but the other two times I've seen her (both in the past two years, one in 2014 and one last month), it was absent from her setlist. It's her only Top 10 she doesn't play anymore... well that aaand I've never heard her do "No Place That Far" so that one's been off her setlist for a long, long time. :'( Granted it's a pretty forgotten #1 in the grand scheme of things, but still... it was a big hit and it remains a beautiful song, so I'd kill to hear that one live. <3 I'd also be floored if I ever got to hear "Three Chords and the Truth" live but I won't hold my breath on that one, lololol.

"Back To December" by Taylor Swift is my absolute favorite song she's ever released. She stopped playing it after the Speak Now era ended. :(

A few Martina McBride examples:
The one that comes to mind immediately for me is "Wrong Again". To this day I still cannot believe that was even a #1 hit! It has completely disappeared from pop culture in favor of some of lower-peaking hits like "Whatever You Say", "This One's For The Girls", "Anyway", and "Independence Day". And she basically NEVER performs it live.
Actually come to think of it, other than awards-show performances while it was charting, I have never once heard of her performing "I Love You" live either... She certainly doesn't treat it like it was her biggest hit...
I am also shocked she never performs her debut single, "The Time Has Come". The way she ignores her first album you would think the entire thing was a flop, but that song was almost a top 20 single! Just because her breakthrough didn't come until her second album with "My Baby Loves Me" doesn't mean she can't dust off her debut single every once in awhile! Also "Cheap Whiskey" seems to have a pretty big following despite its low peak, so that could probably be a good one to perform occasionally too.
Other big hits she rarely ever seemed to sing live once they left the charts: "How Far", "Ride", "I Just Call You Mine", "God's Will", "There You Are"

However, I think this thread isn't about songs to play at dusk. :( Hmm...after initially and maybe all to instinctively seeing a word that wasn't there...you're right haha. I just started typing away and alas... As a George Strait fan that went to many, many concerts, these were some of the songs I was often left wanting to hear: "Baby Blue" (never heard him sing this in my 20+ concerts) "Baby's Gotten Good At Goodbye" (I still hear this on the radio locally and was always hoping he'd include again) "Blue Clear Sky" (this was left out for quite a few years during his last few tours) "Easy Come, Easy Go" "Go On" (to my recollection he attempted this in a rehearsal before a show but it just never worked live) "Gone As A Girl Can Get" "I Just Want to Dance With You" "I Cross My Heart" was one of those songs he left off for years and came back around on tour to sing for one of his opening stops in Austin...it obviously didn't work well and I think he stopped singing it for the rest of the leg; "Fool Hearted Memory" I remember he started singing again in Austin and continued for the rest of the tour's.

Jake Owen doesn't ever play "Startin' With Me" anymore and I hate it because I love that song. In fact, the only 2 songs he still plays from his first two albums are "Yee Haw" and "Eight Second Ride".

Actually come to think of it, other than awards-show performances while it was charting, I have never once heard of her performing "I Love You" live either... She certainly doesn't treat it like it was her biggest hit... Good, because it's a God-awful song. I'd say that The Time Has Come isn't recognizable enough to register at concerts. But on the other hand, Trisha did "On a Bus to St. Cloud" during her set at the Garth concert I went to in May... "Go On" (to my recollection he attempted this in a rehearsal before a show but it just never worked live) I'd imagine all the falsetto on that song was too hard on him live. "I Cross My Heart" was one of those songs he left off for years and came back around on tour to sing for one of his opening stops in Austin...it obviously didn't work well and I think he stopped singing it for the rest of the leg What didn't work about it? (Other than it being a boring cliche fest...) I don't go to a lot of concerts. But I remember seeing Craig Morgan in concert around the time "Redneck Yacht Club" was out. And he did ALL of his Top 40 singles to date except "Every Friday Afternoon". He even did freaking "Something to Write Home About" over that one!

I've seen Big & Rich a few times already and I have never heard them do "Never Mind Me."
Even though they like playing songs like "Jalapeno" and "Loud" at every single show they do.

I wouldn't be surprised then if "What We Ain't Got" eventually gets the same treatment :( I don't know about that one. The last time I saw him, he introduced it by saying "it was the greatest song he's ever recorded", or something like that, then he mentioned how it reminded him of his dad and his health battles. I could see that one sticking around.

I was disappointed to see Carrie Underwood pass over "Just a Dream" on her current tour as that's one of my all-time favorites from her. I'm glad I got to see her do it during the Play On tour (obviously less hits to fit into the setlist back then), but that one was the one absent from her Storyteller show that I was a bit bummed about. :( The criminally underrated "Don't Forget to Remember Me" is one of my favorites as well but that one not being performed didn't surprise me at all. Would love to hear that one live. <3
Glad she ditched "Mama's Song" though, lol.

Dierks finallllllyyyyy let go of Come a Little Closer for this tour. He tried to nix Every Mile a Memory last year but his core fans went a little nuts so that lasted one show. Tee hee.

Wow, I hear "Come A Little Closer" on the radio still and it spent multiple weeks at #1. I know it was over 10 years ago but I guess core fans aren't overtly crazy about it?...

This was Carrie's fanbase when she paid COMPLETE dust to the gem that is "Wine After Whiskey." I also wish she would bring back "Just A Dream" or "So Small." I've been fortunate to see both performed live, but I'd gladly take those over several songs on her recent setlists.

It was the same "schtick" before he was headlining...go into the audience, play it up, etc. I didn't mind it so much, but I know a lot of people that were over it. I'm honestly ready for him him to lose Feel That Fire. And surprised he still does Tip it on Back.

Two of the singles bored me to tears and the other is probably my least favorite Dierks song ever ("Sideways").

I assume he doesn't do "I Wanan Make You Close Your Eyes" (please).

I LOVE that he does and I hope he never ever stops, lol. Bourbon in Kentucky lasted longer than I expected. I'll stop Dierksing the thread. PS I swear Miranda did Famous when I saw her two weeks before you.

I have a question for all you Miranda Lambert people. Does she still do "More Like Her"? One of my all time favorite Miranda Lambert singles ever.

So I just looked up Miranda Lambert and I know this is totally unrelated, but Miranda still does "Dead Flowers" (not complaining), didn't that song peak at like #37 or something. The song must hold a lot of personal meaning for her.

I was a bit disappointed when I saw Garth that "Unanswered Prayers" and "That Ol' Wind" were both only in medleys.
I don't think he's ever done much for "What She's Doing Now" depsite it being one of his longest lasting #1's. I think it was the only #1 not on Double Live, too.

I wish she'd re-add it to her set at some point, especially since it's one of her 5 #1s.

I wish she'd re-add it to her set at some point, especially since it's one of her 5 #1s. I know she has brought it back a couple times through the years, but just for like one or two shows; never as part of a big tour. It is definitely a difficult song to sing stamina-wise. I mean, you really have to know where to breathe in the chorus in order to have the phrasing right and sing the song well. But let's be real, it is HER song, so if anyone knows the phrasing it will be her Besides, she can hold the long notes at the end of "A Broken Wing", Whatever You Say", and "Anyway" every single night without sweat... The phrasing of "Wrong Again" would undoubtedly be easy for her. As Martina gets older I think she is phasing out songs like "How Far", "I Just Call You Mine", and especially "Where Would You Be" because the high notes are just wearing on her voice too much. But "Wrong Again" is not an especially high song. It certainly sounds epic with the 3rd-chorus key change and such, but in reality it only goes up to a B4. Which is not a high note at all for her. So if phrasing and range are not the issue, I think it is reasonable to assume that she just feels like there is not much demand for the song. Maybe we should get a bunch of people to tweet her and ask her to bring it back! ;)

David Nail has apparently removed 'Turning Home' from his setlist. :'( He didn't play it the last couple of times I saw him.

Little Big Town no longer plays "Looking For A Reason" from their A Road To Here album anymore which sucks cuz its probably my favorite song from them. I doubt they'll ever do it live again :'(

Not sure when it was actually taken off the set list for good, though, as there was a period of a couple years after that in which I hadn't seen LBT live. But it definitely wasn't played during the Pain Killer Tour.

Yeah I know they didn't play it when I seen them last september but I was hoping it was just because it was a shorter set...I'm sad that they took it out then as It's always been one of my favorite songs from them. I had really thought that should've been a single during that era.
