So JB, Drake and Rihanna were CLEARLY the biggest benefactors of streaming being so heavily represented.

Cold Water will probably be #1 next week with Sia's sales dropping below it after the discount being gone. I love Sia but I also love high turnover. Hopefully nothing else for the rest of the year will spend more than 2/3 weeks at the top

How in the world is Cold Water set for next week? Its sales are slated to plunge so that Cheap Thrills (now not on sale) will be head-to-head basically thanks to two versions, the streaming margins are barely changing, and Cheap Thrills will maintain the radio advantage.

I don't see how Cold Water can possibly surpass Cheap Thrills next week...they were about 6k points apart which equates to 54k sales. Cheap Thrills certainly won't lose that much

How in the world is Cold Water set for next week? I never said it was set, I set it probably will be I mean, I won't be complaining if it isn't (or even if it never ends up hitting #1) but I wouldn't rule it out. There are still a few days left, even with both Cheap Thrills versions, combined CW is holding very well, doing great on Spotify and has pretty amazing radio gains. Will that be enough to get to #1? I don't know, but to me it still looks possible. We'll have to wait and see what happens throughout the rest of the week

I'm sure there have been many other 40+ people with big top ten hits that weren't #1, like Madonna with 4 Minutes and J. Lo with On the Floor. Also, how many weeks has Needed Me been in the top ten? It must have the lengthiest top 10 stay by now for a song to peak at #7 or lower.

From Billboard: Though Bieber misses out on his fourth Hot 100 leader (for now, at least), the No. 2 debut gives the superstar a new chart distinction: Bieber collects his third No. 2 bow, the most of any artist. In addition to "Water," he began in the runner-up slot with "Boyfriend" and "Sorry." He passes Mariah Carey, who earned two No. 2 debuts with "Always Be My Baby" in 1996 and "My All" in 1998. (Possible consolation for Bieber: Both "Baby" and "All" eventually climbed to No. 1 on the Hot 100.)
Plus, adding in the No. 1 debut of "What Do You Mean?," the superstar now extends his run as the male artist with the most debuts in the top 2 in Hot 100 history: four. Carey, with five tracks, leads all artists. The songbird's aforementioned "Always Be My Baby" and "My All" entered in the runner-up slot, while "Fantasy" and "One Sweet Day," with Boyz II Men (both 1995) and "Honey" (1997) all debuted in the penthouse.
The Queen of the charts...the one and only. She has set and broken every record on the book. #boss

It is now tied with Me, Myself & I on this statistic, which also recorded 12 weeks in the top 10. Not sure if there are other songs that have done this in other years.

After the info given on the Billboard article, and some estimates (for streaming, thanks Ravi for that!), "Cold Water" was closer to that #1 debut than I thought: Cheap Thrills - 126k - 147.1m - 14m = 40,377 Cold Water - 169k - 41.9m - 19.6m = 39,301 Sad to see it come so close and miss it. I hope (and also think) it will eventually hit #1!

13. Me Too (+1) 14. For Free (+5) Could it top 10 next week with album release? 15. Heathens (+7) 16. Treat You Better (+6)
43. Rise (-32) 46. Tiimmy Turner (N) So close to top 40! 52. Make Me... (-35) And never thought I'd see 2 Gucci Mane songs on the Hot 100 in 2016.

The list naturally gets bigger if you widen the criteria. Paul McCartney (age 72) just hit the top 10 last year, for example. Fred Stobaugh (age 96) hit #42 in 2013. 12 week for Needed Me

I am elated that Cheap Thrills was able to withstand the excitement Cold Water generated. Well done team Sia.

was the video for Cold Water out? Because that would explain the high debut and streaming numbers. A bit sad that CW ended up peaking higher than Lean On, but even more sad that Cheap Thrills blocked it (for now, at least) And I still have no explanation as to why Drake's label didn't capitalize on that video release to get the most possible weeks at #1... Wow, only 3 pages this week :O

^ But look at it this way: the fact that it was able to be #1 for ten weeks without a video is highly impressive, almost unheard of! And, it was able to maintain high streaming numbers.

I looked at the chart records and I'm 99% sure Needed Me and MM&I hold that record for the 2010s decade. The closest I saw were Lorde's Team which made 14 weeks in the top 10, but it peaked at 6. Jealous peaked at 7, but it only made 10 weeks in the top 10. Like I'm Gonna Lose You peaked even lower at 8, but again, only 10 weeks in the top 10. And if anyone is interested in Mike Posner, Cooler Than Me was a bit off in both peak and top 10 weeks: peaked at 6, 11 weeks in top 10. Peaking at 1 lower position and making 1 more week in the top 10 would tie Cooler Than Me with MM&I/Needed Me

Safe to say lots of "records" of that type will be matched or broken. 7 songs in the top 10 have been there for 10 or more weeks.

Does anyone know if there's a place where you can find all the sales, stream and airplay for any week on the BB Hot 100? Thx

I have one question. Why the record label of Ariana doesn't make Into You discounted for a week? It would help the song to peak higher, right? I think it would be the only way to make it a big hit, once she's not promoting. Ariana needs to save the discount trick. The song is discounted now!
