Their sole #1 Hot 100 hit, from 1986. Lead single from the album of the same name.
This and "Misunderstanding" are my favorite of their hits.

Decent but my favorite 1986-era Genesis songs are "Tonight, Tonight, Tonight" and "Land of Confusion". Also more familiar with "In Too Deep" than this one.

35 years ago today, "Invisible Touch" by Genesis reached No.1 on the Hot 100 Singles chart, the first single from their 13th album of the same name. The following week, Genesis' former front man, PeterGabriel dethroned it with "Sledgehammer." It marked the first time that a former member of a group has bumped that group out of the No. 1 spot on the Hot 100. "Invisible Touch" also reached No.1 on the Album Rock Tracks and No.3 on the Adult Contemporary chart. I love this song and the whole album but my favourite is "Throwing It All Away."
