Axwell feat. Tara McDonald "Feel The Vibe (Til The Morning Comes)" [New vocal mixes]This track was released last year on Sweden's Nero Recordings. The main hook was provided by Errol Reid, and it was licensed throughout Europe (Flower Power provided a remix on the Italian release). Data Records licensed the track for the UK and was supposed to released it earlier this year, however it didn't happen. Data decided that vocals were needed for the track to cross over. The track, now with new vocals, has finally been completed and the new mixes have just been serviced. This could be this year's "Lola's Theme". Axwell feat. I have heard the Extended Vocal Mix and its not a bad song. The beat reminds me of the "Amazing" remix by Full Intention for George Michael. I think this could grow on me as the summer goes on.

I like this song! I heard this sometime back without the vocals. I'll hunt down the Radio Edit.

You can watch the full video, and not just a short snippet, here: Full Length VideoBTW, the link might not work... this board always, ALWATS messes up long link. I tried 10 times to fix the link, but it always separated the extension "wmv". It puts a blank space between the "w" and the "mv". So here's the full link, simply paste the link on Windows Media Player, without the space found in between wmv: www.ministryofsound.com/mos/ministryofsound/templates/Wvx.aspx?media=/Video/Axwell/Axwell_FeelTheVibe2_300k.wmvI have to admit that I'm disappointed with the video. Neither Axwell nor Tara McDonald appear on the video... a shame, since both Axwell and Tara are totally hot. Amazon UK and HMV UK list the release date as August 1, while Data Records lists it as August 8. The single will be released on Enhanced CD Maxi Single and Vinyl Maxi Single. Axwell feat. Now with the addition of a fantastic new vocal itβs going to get even bigger!Just like the huge Shapeshifters track, βLolaβs Themeβ, βFeel The Vibeβ began life as an instrumental track. After blowing up to be one of the biggest club tunes at the end of last year itβs following the same route as βLolaβs Themeβ β all the way to the top of the charts! With unprecedented support from all the coolest DJs around including Roger Sanchez, Pete Tong and Judge Jules, βFeel The Vibeβ has already been a hit across Europe and looks unstoppable. Can you feel the vibe? If not then youβd better check your pulseβ¦! We wasted no time in signing the track from Swedish producer Axwell and then added one of the best vocals youβre ever likely to hear. Ex-Planet Funk vocalist, Tara McDonald provides the voice and makes the vocal sound like itβs always been there. When it gets in your head youβll have trouble hearing anything else! With top quality mixes from Kurtis Mantronik, Seamus Haji, Mike Di Scala and DJ Flex & Sandy βVeeβ Wilhelm - this is one track that refuses to go away. Set to be an anthem all over the Summer, wherever you go you know youβre going to feel the vibe - til the morning comes! __________________________ I found this great interview with Tara McDonald... It seems she also fancies Axwell! It's a hard life for singers in dance music. If they had chosen a moody indie group to front they would be lauded as talented superstars. Instead they are slated by purists for being the ones to add stupid vocals to otherwise perfectly good tracks. The haters say it doesn't matter anyway because they are all just air headed blondes. Are they just being cynical or is it true? We decided to go on a mission to find out and ended up talking to the vocalist on Axwell's 'Feel The Vibe' - Tara McDonald. Blonde? Yes. Bubble headed? Certainly not. Hi there Tara, you are the voice behind Axwells latest buzz track - 'Feel the Vibe'. What's the Swedish producer like to work with?I co-wrote the melody and lyrics for 'Feel the Vibe' with another writer called Tom Kent. When I was given the track I was really excited as the instrumental was so strong. We then sent the track over to the record company who passed it over to Axwell. I still haven't met Axwell as he's based in Sweden and I'm in the UK, but we should be meeting up soon - apparently he's very cute. Have you worked with any other big producers?I've worked with Planet Funk and sang with them on MTV's Ibiza dance festival along side Basement Jaxx and Faithless. That was an amazing experience. Those guys are great. I also worked with Jagz Kooner (Primal Scream) and sang on 'Butterfly Caught' a Massive Attack remix. That was really cool. Tell us a bit more about your background. Is it true you have been performing since you were a child?Yes that's true, I started working as singer when I was 9 years old in the musical Les Miserables and I've been working ever since. I've backing sung for Eric Clapton, Ringo (the Beatles), Roger Taylor (Queen), I've sung for the troops in Iraq, Kosovo, The Falklands and Bosnia. I went to the Brit school in Croydon and studied music, it was there that I realised I wanted to become a singer/songwriter. Are you a house music fan yourself?I love dance music, I especially love especially funky house with soulful vocals. I grew up listening to 'I Wanna Give You Devotion', N-Trance and Ultra Nate. I also love Basement Jaxx and the Prodigy. They are such great bands and have so much energy live. When I'm round the house I play loads of different music; Zero 7, Sigur Ros, Rolling Stones, The Beatles and I'm a sucker for great songwriters like Carol King. You are going on the Big Tunes tour to sing 'Feel the Vibe' live around the country. What's it like doing a live PA in a club? I did my first PA on Saturday 25 June in a club called Platinum in Jersey, it was brilliant, the crowd were really up for it, it felt strange though just singing one song for 3 minutes. It took longer for me to get ready. A lot of purists are not keen on vocals on dance tracks, but most tunes that have chart success these days are songs with a verse/chorus. Why do you think vocals are now an essential part of a tracks success?I think having a vocal on a track helps people to relate to a song and gives over a message on a personal level. I always want to hear the lyrics and know what someone is trying to say. When I get a new CD I always look at the lyrics first. What are the best and worst parts about being a singer? I have to say that I love my job and I knew when I was a little girl that I wanted to sing. I don't think there's anything else I can do! The best bits are travelling (to an exotic location), I've been around the world and have stayed in beautiful hotels and met interesting people. The worst things are the travelling (being stuck on the M4 in traffic), waiting around for hours to do something and working very unsocial hours. However, I wouldn't change a thing. Lastly, what about future plans?I'm working on my own project which musically is very organic live instruments and heartfelt honest lyrics, I always seem to write about my experiences as life constantly inspires me - even the bad stuff. I've also got a couple of house tracks in the pipeline which I've co-written and am keeping my fingers crossed for. There we have it: Not a bubble in sight. Proof that should start giving more recognition to those hard working vocalists.
Axwell - Feel the Vibe is forthcoming on Data with Tara on vocals.

Well, the single was released this past Monday in the UK, and according to the midweeks, it will most likely miss the Top 10.
What a shame! This is one of the best dance records of the year, and yet we have Crazy Frog's "Axel F." staying at the top of the charts for weeks! >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

New at #1 on the UK dance & #16 on the official UK charts. :o ... I count 13 dance tunes on the official Top 40 in England this week! Wish the American charts looked like this ... someday!

A real shame this missed the Top 10... It deserved the No. 1 slot. If the freaking Crazy Frog and the lamer-than-lame James Blunt can both go to No. 1, surely Axwell deserved it as well. iTunes UK is exclusively selling an Eric Prydz Remix. 1. Feel the Vibe (Til the Morning Comes) [Eric Prydz Remix] 8:14 Also, Ultra is about to release the vinyl maxi single with a really lame track-listing. I don't understand why Ultra can't release double-packs with so many remixes available. Axwell feat. Tara McDonald "Feel The Vibe (Till The Morning Comes)" [Data Records / Ultra Records UL 1334-6] US Vinyl Maxi Single A1. Feel The Vibe ('Til The Morning Comes) [Vocal Club Mix]B1. ^^^ Ultra might sell more mixes of the song on iTunes in the U.S. Sometimes they put too many remixes on there that are totally crap for some releases. This is a good release though.
How is the Eric Prydz Mix?

Who keeps buying James Blunt? God, he sucks... he is this year's Di(l)do. Dead-a$$ boring (IMHO).
And yowsa! Axwell IS VERY HOT. Can you guys imagine what would've happened if the dumb record label had used a picture of Axwell on the single's cover? Missed opportunity.

Since no one answered, I had to seek this one out on my own. I thought the mix was a bit too filtered for my tastes. I prefer the original and vocal mixes over this one. Well, you could've heard a sample on iTunes UK or Juno! But yeah, since the song was released back in 2004 in Sweden, Nero Recordings commissioned two new mixes for Sweden: Axwell "Feel The Vibe" [Nero Recordings Sweden NERO 007] Swedish Vinyl Maxi Single, released August 8, 2005 A1. Eric Prydz RemixB1. Jerry Ropero & Denis The Menace MixAn interview with Axwell can be found here: www.ministryofsound.com/mos/ministryofsound/templates/Wvx.aspx?media=/Video/Axwell/Axwell_Interview_300k.wmvIf you click on the link and get a blank page, simply copy the link, open Windows Media Player, click on File, Open URL and paste the link. BTW, the single drops to No. 44 this week (last week it was at No. 25) on the official UK Singles chart. On the UK Dance Singles chart, the single climbs 5-4, while his Axtone release, "Watch The Sunrise" (feat. Steve Edwards) debuts at No. 3. Not bad considering it's only available on a vinyl maxi single.
