Since this is something Chart related, I put it in these forums. If it belongs somewhere else move it.
What are some chart stats or stuff that may not happen again?
Here is one
2003 Year End top 3 was In Da Club, Ignition, and Get Busy in that order.
April 12, 19, and 26 charts, had those songs as top 3 in THAT order.
I do not see this ever happening again, and I doubt it has happened before.
It was close in 2012 but I think We Are Young and Call Me Maybes orders were flipped or something.
what are some other things that we may never see anymore?

Weren't Happy, Dark Horse and All of Me the top 3 in that order at some point in 2014? Im pretty sure Talk Dirty was number 3 for a while then AOM went to number 2 and DH to 3.

Probably a song charting solely on airplay, since even if a song wasn't up for sale I don't see how a song will be able to register 0 streams on YouTube. Even if an artist were to not put their stuff on streaming there's somehow still be audio on YouTube uploaded by someone.
And if Hello and Can't Stop the Feeling couldn't chart with airplay due to their radio deals then having a radio deal isn't enough airplay.

This is kinda stupid but whatever: Sean Paul will never have a #1 again. Isn't he #1 right now with Sia on Cheap Thrills?

The top 5 being held by only one artist.

I wonder when we'll see a #1 fall from the top spot out of the top 10. It hasn't happened in over 40 years. Prince would likely have done it with Purple Rain if news of his death had come on the Friday, but that's a special case.
Also, connected to that is a song that spends its sole week in the top 10 at #1. You would think that Idol songs have done this, but each one has spent at least two weeks in the top 10 (I Believe and Do I Make You Proud were in the top 10 for two weeks). I Believe also failed to make the year-end top 100, uncommon among #1s.

The top 5 being held by only one artist. I could totally see that happening again. As streaming grows it's not entirely inconceivable that Drake or Taylor or some future hot artist could monopolize the entire top 5-10.

Pearl Jam - Alive spent most weeks on Bubbling Under and never hit hot 100, 61 weeks from 98-99. In 2016, Zara Larsson - Lush Life spent 27 weeks :(

The top 5 being held by only one artist. I do believe the Beatles's record will stand forever, thank you very much. I don't see a rock and/or country song topping the charts again.

The way Drake and or Bieber launches singles and with "featurings", 5 in the top 5 might happen at some point.
Popular tastes on this chart comes and goes in cycles. Rock and Country have had their day before and may yet again...just not soon.

A record that stood for years - the 27-1 jump by the Beatles into #1 that has since been topped many many times thanks to the way the chart works now. The record is now 97-1. That isn't going to get beat until the Hot 100 carries more than 100 titles.

No artist originating from Active Rock will ever reach the top 40 again.
No Korean artist will ever return to the top 40.
The One Sweet Day record will never be broken.
I can't see any artist ever having a Mark Ronson-like chart history (one 10+ week #1 hit without ever returning to the hot 100)
The Soko drop
#1 in two separate runs a la The Twist

Only a matter of time before someone hits 17 weeks
Mark Ronson did not have a Mark Ronson-like chart history either. 2 chart weeks as a feature on an A$AP Rocky song
#1 in two runs could have possibly happened at Michael Jackson's death, I Will Always Love You peaked at #3 when Whitney Houston dies. Prince took two songs to the top 10 when he died. The next big singles artists with a catalog of #1 hits that has an early death - maybe possible for a return #1

In the last year we've had 3 songs at 9 weeks, so it's not too far fetched.
